The debate will be 90 minutes, but only the first hour will be on teevee. You'll have to watch the rest on the internet. After the first hour, the teevee will run a repeat episode of NCIS. Shameful.

Mitt Romney said if sanctions don't work to prevent Iran from getting the bomb, then we'll go to war against Iran to stop them from getting the bomb. Guess what? Sanctions aren't going to work. Without serious military action, Iran will get a bomb. Romney's announcement is big news. Who thinks he will flip flop tomorrow?

Perry did well. He stood up to Ron Paul's kooky ideas about not torturing Muslims. I'll be for it until the day I die, he exclaimed as the audience erupted into enthusiastic applause.

Bachmann and Santorum made the smartest points. They were right about Pakistan, and everybody else on the stage failed to understand the issue. But most people will probably say Perry won because he looked awake and didn't make any major mistakes.

If anybody lost, it was Cain. He appeared uncertain. Romney did poorly too.
