some of the current petitions:
-25,408 signatures: Legalize and Regulate Marijuana in a Manner Similar to Alcohol.
-15,511 signatures: Abolish the TSA, and use its monstrous budget to fund more sophisticated, less intrusive counter-terrorism intelligence.
-9,725 signatures: Edit the Pledge of Allegiance to remove the phrase "Under God"

Seems like a good idea if they can keep it from getting out of hand. Nice and easy way to petition your government. And about as much work as the typical stoner is able to do before getting distracted.

After 5,000 votes in 30 days you get an "official response" whatever that may be, we have yet to find out... it's only been out a few weeks, and even then only really gained popularity in the last few days.

Can we petition for monks?

Imagine them. The shaved heads. The red, white, and blue robes. Kicking ass for America.

The last time Obama was asked about Marijuana, he literally laughed on national TV.

Don't get your hopes up. As long as the guy in the whitehouse still has the arrogance to dismiss the most popular question submitted to his townhall with laughter, a petition won't do shit. And I know petitions.
