View Full Version : Irene Is Obama's Katrina

Irene is Obama's Katrina. Compared to Bush's response to Katrina, Obama's response to Irene can only be called a dismal failure. I'll explain by focusing on public relations and results.

In the public relations arena, Bush went on with his business as usual while Katrina attacked the Gulf Coast. That kept everybody calm. But Obama dropped everything else and stirred everybody up. A good president would maintain calm.

In the results arena, the comparison is obvious. During Katrina, only about 1.7 million households lost electric power. But during Irene, about 4 million households have lost power. That's 4 million fewer people reading my posts.

Irene teaches us that as we approach the nomination of a Republican presidential candidate, we need to find the one candidate who is the most like Bush.

I thought Fort Hood and the oil spill were Obama's Katrina? I don't know who Katrina is but damn does she get around.

Corrected.

What a crock of shit. Katrina rocks Irene's face.

*This* is Obama's Katrina...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/29/onyango-obama-obamas-uncle_n_940974.html?ncid=webmail4

Onyango Obama, President Obama's uncle, was arrested on August 24 in Massachusetts for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, CBS News reports.

According to CNN, Onyango Obama was arrested in Framingham, a Boston suburb, after not stopping his SUV at an intersection.

The Metro West Daily News reports that he had a blood alcohol level of .14 when tested with a Breathalyzer at the police station. The legal limit in Massachusetts is .08, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Police said that when asked if he wanted to make a phone call, Obama said: "I think I will call the White House."

A spokesman for Cleveland immigration attorney Margaret Wong, who is representing him, confirmed that the 67-year-old is the president's uncle.

...

Police say the president's uncle is originally from Kenya and is being held without bail on a detainer from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Wong was one of the attorneys who represented Zeituni Onyango, President Obama's aunt, who last year was granted political asylum after spending ten years as an undocumented immigrant in Boston.

Tsk Tsk Tsk ... using the Presidency to usher in (illegal) undocumented relatives...

MORAL OUTRAGE !!

You have to admit that's pretty awesome. If my nephew were the president and I was arrested for anything I think the first thing I would say is "I want to call the White House" too.

I liked Bill O'Reilly's talking points last night when he complained that Obama still has not restored power to Long Island.

During the storm, I didn't even lose electricity and could watch Sheppard Smith log hours on Fox news. He did a very nice job by the way. And then a strange thing happened. About four hours after the storm passed through, the electricity went out, and eight hours after that, the cable went out.

And they both stayed out.

So I'm thinking, why did that happen? If the storm's gone, why did the infrastructure collapse on Long Island for hundreds of thousands of people after the fact?

I still have not been able to get an answer to that question. The Long Island Power Authority, LIPA, charges the highest public utility electricity rates in the country. And right now about a half million of their customers are without power.

More... (http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/oreilly/2011/08/30/bill-oreilly-great-storm-2011)

In my community, folks pulled together. The guys at the Villa Milano restaurant even opened up, feeding folks who didn't have power. When I asked my pal Eli why he and his crew braved the storm to come in, he said "because Albanians are crazy." The guys are half Albanian and half Italian.

All in all, Hurricane Irene was a bad storm, but it did bring out good in many Americans.

I'm trying to think of one for the Bush's.. but I'm sure there is one. I know his kids were causing him some headaches at one point.. but they were hot so it doesn't count.

And how the fuck does Obama's illegal alien uncle have a VALID Social Security card???

President Obama’s accused drunken-driving uncle — who was busted after a near collision with a Framingham cop — has had a valid Social Security number for at least 19 years, despite being an illegal immigrant ordered to be deported back to Kenya, the Herald has learned.

The president’s 67-year-old uncle, Obama Onyango, has had a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and Social Security number since at least 1992, said Registry of Motor Vehicles spokesman Michael Verseckes.

Onyango, whose sister, Zeituni Onyango, made headlines when it was revealed she was an illegal immigrant living in public housing in South Boston, was wobbly legged, “slurring” and had “red and glassy eyes” when he was pulled over at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Waverly Street in Framingham.

A marked cruiser pulled him over just past the Chicken Bone saloon, about a mile from Onyango’s single-family home. Onyango, the half-brother of the president’s father identified in some press accounts as “Uncle Omar,” initially denied drinking but admitted having “two beers” after police said they smelled booze on his breath, according to a police report.

Pretty funny.. I just saw some reality show about the bar "The Chicken Bone".. I don't know if it's the same one but I can't believe there would be 2 of them.

Ummm, ok, he admitted to being a clean addict. Clinton said he didn't inhale. Obama, ummmm, yeah, what hasn't he said? And what's with the Skull and Bones bullshit, so be pledged a club in college, did you? Were you turned down by frat row? Did a soristitute hurt your feelers? More people can find more factual evidence that JFK is alive in the basement of the White House and running our war against the grey alien invaders than they can find anything related to Skull and Bones.

I mean really, because many of the countries elite belong to one of the elite clubs on one of the most elite college campuses in the US it must be a conspiracy. Or, could it be that successful people sending their kids to a top notch school would see their kids belong to the top not club and end up with those same kids becoming successful? Nope, it must be a conspiracy, get out the tin foil hats.

I read a quote in the New York Post where a man said,"if Irene does nothing, people will be pissed." My roof is still on my house, none of my family and friends properties were damaged beyond repair. No trees fell on my car, no floods wrecking my city, no fire and brimstone either. Irene, in a broad sense, did nothing, I'm very happy about that. I feel all the state governors and Obama acting very accordingly with the situation.

They do, but it's interesting to me that most people and the media have ignored the real meaning, and real danger behind it.

It has nothing to do with drugs or anything else. It's more of an agenda and our own apparent social gravitation to an idea that debases the entire reason for our countries revolution and independence from tyrannical and genealogical rule.

Not trying to turn this into a Bush bash, just an off the cuff comment. Back to your prune juice old man.

Obama himself admits to drinking alcohol, smoking pot and using cocaine, in his own words, frequently. Just like Bush, that was in the past. Would being a member of a the Trinity United Church of Christ be skull and bones enough for you? How about connections to Tony Rezko or William Ayers and connections to the Weather Underground?

They didn't.
