Anyone else watching this?
A few thoughts- I watched it on Fox News. Anyone else find it odd that for each candidate, the little info piece they have for each candidate lists their religious affiliation first?
Also, Hermain Cain, for the nutjob he is, actually is coming across pretty well.
It was funny listening to Romney flat out lie about the taxes he raised in order to get the credit increase by S&P.
Rick Santorum just flat out appeared a douchebag when Bachmann was going at it on her voting record.
Pawlenty seems like his jacket is too small for him. Odd but distracting.
Gingrich had some good statements. I particularly liked his rant on the debt commission.
Anyone else watch this and have thoughts?

One thing really surprising to me- I'm not familiar with all the panel members asking the questions, but some of them are quite tough. Huntsman got asked a question about the 12,000 jobs he created in the private sector and pointed out 10,000 of them were created overseas.
Bachmann also got asked a question about being subserviant to her husband. She muffed the question but I was surprised it was asked.
I'm really curious to see how accurate some of the statements the candidates have made turn out to be.

Titus
Chapter 2
King James Bible
[3] The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
[4] That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
[5] To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
There was a republican debate? What did they debate about? Which country had the most cheap and hard working illegal immigrants?

Yeah, I don't think they pulled any punches. I enjoyed seeing the candidates have to defend their words or past actions that aren't in line with the image they're trying to project today. I pretty much agree with everything you wrote in the opening post.

SPEAKING OF SACRED BOOKS
My mother told me that life isn't always about pleasing yourself and that sometimes you have to do things for the sole benefit of another human being. I completely agreed with her, but reminded her that that was what blow jobs were for. - Chelsea Handler

Pack of no talent, aristocratic, hypocrite ass hats jerking each other off with freedom scented cock lube (see scent of the insoles of Minutemen's brown-person shitkickers on a hot day in Arizona).
Fuck 'em all. And no I didn't watch it.

I fell asleep.. so I haven't watched the 2nd hour, but:
Pawlenty comes across fake as hell to me. I dislike him more than anyone.
Bachmann - Please stop using campaign slogans during debates. I wanted to punch her in the face when she said "OBAMA WILL BE A ONE...... TERM..... PRESIDENT!!!!" I actually like what she says.. I just don't trust her to be able to carry it out.
Ron Paul - Looked old and frail. I like what he says about all things financial, I just think he's a nutjob for thinking we can become isolationists and cut the government to the levels he wants.
Huntsman - Looked like Johnson from the last debate... unprepared and out of his element. He sidestepped a question about illegal alien amnesty that made him look dishonest about his values.
Cain - He came across as the most likable to me.. but his stands on Muslims makes him unelectable to me.
Romney - Bores me to death. I see no passion from that guy.. just an empty suit. Gore 2.0
Santorum - Gigantic douchebag and attention whore. I take back my previous stand on Pawlenty.. I dislike Santorum more.
Looks like another election of voting for a candidate I really don't like much..........

Gold.
Yea, I can see how someone like you would hate conversations about self-responsibility, small government, balanced budgets, low taxes and low spending, welfare reforms, etc....
But seriously, awesome contribution as usual. At least by making one word posts, it's more difficult to be wrong.

Huntsman is by far my favorite of the Republican candidates. He did great things in Utah, and he has massive political experience. His business background is ideal for the current economy, as well.

I think Cain was on the fast-track to being electable until he gaffe'd up with his Muslim comments. He's tried to walk it back, but he's just digging in further.
(I didn't see the debate, just making a general comment.)
I think a lot of people are waiting for Palin to swoop in and save the day. She'll wait until the 11th hour to toss her name in, and people will forget the past and just idealize her because she's so much better than her conservative competition.

You get this from Michelle Bachmann?
What President had a surplus, balanced the budget, and passed welfare reform?
If Bachmann makes it past the primaries I am officially re-registering democrat. Two crazy women in a row for president. I mean I dont like most of the democrats either but the GOP is losing its fucking mind.

Yes. Maybe actually listen to what she is saying. And then look at my comments on her.. that I didn't think she was capable of delivering on it.

This is a prime example of why I've been saying that if Obama wins, it means very little... we should focus all of our effort on the Congress.

Exactly. I actually liked Cain in the first debate. Now he's unelectable.

I wish the media would stop giving her the attention she obviously craves... her 15 minutes should have been over by now.

She also benefits from swooping in at the 11th hour by avoiding the previous 10 hours of potential idiot things to say.

Haha. I didn't even see this (http://news.yahoo.com/palin-iowa-bus-tour-compete-coverage-ames-straw-183606342.html) until I was catching up on the Daily Show this morning.
Didn't she bring her bus to a site within 10 miles of where Romney was announcing his presidential candidacy, back in June?
