Just a place for people to bitch about the polticising of Osama's death.

My initial thought is that it's ironic that the same people that discredit Reagan's role in ending the Cold War will trumpet Obama's roll in Osama's death, and, conversely, the same people that credit Ronnie with ending the Cold War will distance Obama's roll in killing Osama.

Ahh, politics.

Obama's roll in Osama's death

He got tolls to pay for those rolls, fair and square.

One involved actionable intelligence, navy seals, and a few military choppers. The other involved a massive expansion of military, military spending, debt, and an arms race that ended in one going belly up.

One is a figure head of terrorism, the other is a convoluted mash up of political labels and nations.

Apples and oranges isn't even a fitting analogy.

[stomps on broken screen]
Allen Gamble: We don't do that shit!
Terry Hoitz: Stop! Stop it man, you're scarin' the shit outta me man, stop it!
Allen Gamble: Is this how you conduct yourself... in a democracy?

Curiously enough I heard that Bush and Obama were elected by relatively narrow margins. I consider our country polarized about 50/50. But now you're going to go EXTREME LIBRUL like a talkshow host even though I tend to anger those folks (TheE is far more liberal than I am, Tsa'ah too) on a regular basis. Play on, playa.

Actually no. I don't think the country is split 50/50, though that's how the votes weighed out. I think we probably have 5, maybe 6 major buckets. Extreme liberals, liberals, moderates, conservative and extreme conservatives. The votes end up the way they do because when you boil it down, you pick the best of the bunch, which may not be your political favorite, but is the lesser of two (or more) evils.

Wasn't a slam on you, you need to stop being so butthurt everytime I respond to you.

Definitely one take. I think we'd have more primary gridlock if it were true (though it may be with the Republicans a bit right now).
