No more auto-rezz service provided by me.

For historical reference on what this means: I used to run an auto-rezz service with my player character Mofuggah in GS Shattered. This thread served as a place for updates on that process while it was active, but it is no longer. Now I just post pics of ladies here cause I feel like it.

This is working great currently, as are my deathrecover and whatnot which are enabling me to be available for Teras rescues nearly 24 hours a day. If you'd like to tip runestaves for the raise / rescue service, just drop em on the Adventurer's rest deck and I'll pick em up after each hunt.

Make sure you keep your group open when you die. Group_ajar on the repo will do that for you.

PC is back online. Rescue / raise service on Teras running again. Sorry for the downtime but I think it's all back online and stable now. Only time will tell.

I spoke too soon. The PC still has trouble so it must be hardware if a format didn't fix it. I've got no idea how long it'll take me to track this down so if you don't see me around for awhile, know that I haven't quit I'm just working out the problemo.

Updated status on the PC situation, just in case anybody is wondering whether rezz service will still be available on Teras or not...

After a format and clean reinstall of the OS, problems persist. IRQ_less_than_or_not_equal BSOD problems to be specific. Last night I removed 2 of the 4 DIMMS from my motherboard and ran with half ram till morning. It got a little wonky and gave me another BSOD so I've swapped the RAM I ran last night, for the RAM I had removed and I'll be running it today on that. We'll see how she goes. I really hope it's RAM because if not I'm leaning towards motherboard. Could be CPU trouble too I s'pose, but it doesn't smell like it to me. Anywho, that's the story and I'm sticking to it.

Rescue / rezz service is up and running right now and I'm working to keep it that way.

Update. The RAM was the problem it seems. Aside from the automatic windows update reboot last night, things have been running smoothly for 2 days. Feel free to return to Teras and die.

So the rescue / raises in Illistm has a couple glitches to be worked out so far.

1) In OTF the constructs stop you from dragging a deader thru the room. I'm working on this and getting close to having fixed it I think.

2) In Ta'Illistim there are some stupid stairs and bridges that break the drag for go2, and the end result is ditching the deader. I'm hoping Tillmen fixes this in ;go2 but if not I'm aware of the problem and will be working to correct it in my script.

Other than that, it's a good time of year to die in Ta'Illistim area.

Oh and I was going to post random internet boobs #123456789 but I couldn't find anything worthy on my first search of a few forums so instead I give you this.

So far so good on the rescue / raise automation in Illistim.

Regarding OTF, I think there may still be an issue. I suspect that Liches have different messaging for stopping a drag than the constructs do, which would cause a problem. If you've experienced this issue please post or PM a log of the details so I can correct the problem. I've been unable to find it in my logs so far but I can see by the rescue request messaging that a problem exists.

I haz an autorezzer script up and running finally. Thanx to Tillmen, Godsatan, Ifor, and half a dozen others that I bugged on ;lnet code channel to get it working. It's working well at this point with no glitches. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

On another note, I ran into an interesting hangup with the rescue script. I died in a room with a greater construct who was kinda beat up, so he was prone and couldnt leave when the room was sancted. I'm assuming you would have just sancted all day and kept us both stuck effectively. I was at keys, so I just departed and everything seems to be running fine. I dont really know what you'd be able to do about that kinda situation, just though i would let you know though, thanks for all you do!

The solution is to kill the construct.

Assuming it's beat up already, the aura should fade from it sooner than later, if it's even still there.

I say a conditional in the sanct part... while it's sancted, add a matchtimeout for the construct struggles to stand but fails, and if that catches twice, you can assume it isn't getting up, and swap to wreck its face mode.

He's not in my resting waggle already, but everybody gets a waggle with a rezz. Just edit your recovery routine to leave the room for 5 seconds after the rezz and you'll dodge it.

He's not in my resting waggle already, but everybody gets a waggle with a rezz. Just edit your recovery routine to leave the room for 5 seconds after the rezz and you'll dodge it.

I'm going to explain this in some detail so that hopefully you'll understand. I feel this is necessary since you've asked the same question in this thread 4 or 5 times now and I've given the same response every time.

Excluding people from the post raise spellup is not a feature I currently have in the script. My coding abilities or lack thereof are such that it would likely take me a few hours worth of attempts to make that happen, and I'd only likely get it successfully done if Tillmen or other people on the code channel respond to my requests for how the heck to write the code I need. Usually when I do this it breaks the rezz script for days while I work to figure it out. My interest in GS is waning so much at this point that I haven't even fixed the occasional OTF problems in my script, and I certainly don't have the level of interest it would require to go in and troubleshoot adding a whole other bit of logic to it. Compare the complexity of that with the simplicity of adding two lines to your recovery script that'll stand you up and exit the room post rezz, and you can see why I recommend the latter.

Regardless of the XP they are getting, anyone who has an account that just sits there and bot heals/raises/picks for the rest of the population counts as a Gemstone Saint. They get little to no silver, absolutely no loot from hunting and enhance the experience of everyone else playing.

People should be throwing GoA's at Mofugga's feet...and Alfred's...and Gib's pick-bot...and whoever else.

As you enter the water, the sucking mud drags you down slowly. Moving out further, you suddenly encounter a dropoff and slide quickly underneath the surface.

Wet blackness envelops everything, and the mud grasps powerfully at feet and legs. The lack of vision and the unsure footing in the muck below combine to confuse the senses, making direction a meaningless idea. Even "up" is in question at times. One can only swim and hope.

Worn away by rain and the underground action of continual water, the road has sunk to swamp level. At this point, though, it remains firm enough for passage and rises slightly out of the swamp to the west. To the east the road disappears entirely under black water for twenty yards or so then emerges again to proceed unsteadily on its way. Continuing east is most likely a sink or swim proposition, and perhaps both. You also see some muck and the ruins of a paved stone road disappearing further into the swamp to the south.

You pull yourself slowly out of the black pool, covered with mud and dripping water profusely.
