If you have fired a gun, ride a motorcycle, own power-tools, or watch NCIS you might be a Republican

This article is useful for sizing people up because it goes beyond the normal differences between the Blue and the Red and tells you how to tell statistically if somebody is a Republican or a Democrat.

That was a waste of time.
Troll better, imo. Don't damage your brand by releasign sub-standard work product, Clyde.
I think motorcycling is a pretty good representation of Republicans values especially the libertarian leaning types. Motorcycles are almost the perfect distillation of freedom and the right to be a moron. Having owned a few it's really hard to describe to someone who hasn't ridden the sense of freedom and... joy that it brings. It's hard to encapsulate. On the other hand statistically you are much more likely to die riding a motorcycle than driving a Prius. And that's really one of the core differences, Democrats often try to protect people even against their own judgment if they view the judgment as flawed. Republicans are more likely to want to allow you to make a dumb choice, because they value the choice over the outcome.
Also, anecdotally I'm unsurprised motorcycle owners identify Republican because every motorcycle message board I've ever been on has a noticeable Republican lean on the off-topic section.

I get the intended irony but I think you realize the difference in the two points so I won't bother addressing them to a knowledgeable audience.

Saying Democrats don't enjoy death defying things is ridiculous. I bet if you shifted the focus to sky diving, bungee jumping, helicoptor skiing, etc, you'd see a pronounced shift to the left. Just because Republicans like motorcycles, doesn't mean they're the ones who love to allow dumb choices.
P.S. Wanting to be married is a dumb choice, Republicans won't let the gays do it though!

There's a big difference between your middle-aged weekend bike riders and your true outlaw one percenter riders.
Good luck assigning a political affiliation to those guys.

Interesting. I feel left out. And strangely superior. No wait, I was feeling superior before I read that. Now I'm just left out. :(

Ducatis are fun (the Vegas cousin works for a dealership) but I think GTA IV's physics engine sort of ended me on motorcycles.
I prefer motorboating.
