Seriously, when will politicians learn?

Stupid idiot.

And really stupid looking pose.

Not sure I understand why he would resign over it.. but whatever. Probably something more out there....

Perhaps something to do with the emails.
I highly suspect we'll see this become more lurid before it fades away.

At least, at this point in the scandal, it appears to involve another woman and not another man...

Soon, we won't ever see 'after the scandal broke on Gawker.com' again.

Isn't he married?

LOL, that's my congressman, I'm from Amherst, NY. We went from Tom Reynolds (let the FL pedo Congressman just hang around) to this guy.

I guess it would be harmless, if he wasn't married, and a Congressman trying to pick up women on Craigslist. That's some seriously serial killer type shit, man.

Is it me, or are there alot of elected male officials who show infidelity to their spouse? Not only that, but those that cheat, cheat in stupid ways? So essentially our elected male officials fall into (IMO) four categories:
1) Arrogant Type A personalities who's perception of their importance is so high they believe they can get away with anything
2) Stupid
3) Haven't been caught yet (possibly smarter?)
4) Don't cheat

I recognize not cheating and not getting caught doesn't make the news, but damn there are a lot of elected officials getting caught it seems like. Oh, and I specify men because I cannot recall an elected woman getting into such a scandal.

I gotta wonder if it's the position that attracts that sort of person, or if it's an indication of society as a whole.

I mean come on... Craigslist? The airport bathroom? High end whores? Staffers? How could they expect NOT to get caught?!

Mark Sanford was one of my favorite cases, as was Newt Gingrich.

Initially, he denied it through a spokesperson (http://www.opencongress.org/articles/view/2198-Married-Congressman-Caught-E-Mailing-Shirtless-Pics), claiming his email account was hacked. If a politician wants to deny something without committing himself to that position, then the best way to do it is through a spokesperson. If your spokesperson says it for you, you aren't the one who lied about it. And in Washington, lying is worse than sinning.

You are slipping.
