Just to give an honest follow up to how Paul did his.
::
1. Paul Krugman I like his academic rigor even if I don't always agree with him.
2. Arianna Huffington I'm not sure if I've ever really believed her. Elitist. Married to a rich Republican for a long time.
3. Fred Hiatt Is he that influential as a liberal? He seems to be mainly considered with bottom line.
4. Thomas Friedman Great writer. Serious degree of research. Not fakey like Huffington or corporate like Hiatt.
5. Jon Stewart I love what he does for television and the media. Spends a lot of time mocking Obama too. Should probably be ranked higher.
6. Oprah Winfrey I'm not sure I really see her as a 'liberal pundit.'
7. Rachael Maddow Not really all that funny or entertaining to me.
8. Joshua Micah Marshall I enjoy his blog. Might not be a regular of mine but I get linked to it at times.
9. David Shipley Gets points for divorcing Naomi Wolf. I feel like he brushes much less under the rug than Hiatt. More of an actual liberal.
10. Markos Moulitsas Zuniga ("Kos") While I sort of detest his shameless MoveOn boosterism I totally respect what he does for Democratic fundraising and campaign strategy in the face of the Supreme Court saying, "Okay companies, buy elections for Republicans!" He's also more than willing to call Obama on not being decisive. Should probably be ranked higher. This is a very old media list.

I want to know why Jon Stewart's picture is the only one slumming in a t-shirt.

Am I the only person that doesn't go to newspaper/magazine websites anymore because of how fucking poorly designed and full of retarded ads they are?

1. Paul Krugman - the few things I read, not bad at all, i appreciate his points (I give a lot of credit for his Nobel prize win, can't argue with success)
2. Arianna Huffington - ugh, just no, she's a spoiled rich girl spending family money to be important
3. Fred Hiatt - who?
4. Thomas Friedman - decently well written columns, rarely agree with him
5. Jon Stewart - he really annoys me, rather vapid
6. Oprah Winfrey - not a pundit
7. Rachael Maddow - can't stand her show, not a lot of content
8. Joshua Micah Marshall - who
9. David Shipley - who
10. Markos Moulitsas Zuniga ("Kos") - who
I am surprised by some of the ommissions from this list.
Keith Olberman - pathetic git
Glenn Greenwald from the Salon - hate his opinion, love his writing
Bill Moyers - best newsman of the group
Chris Matthews - I like him while I never agree with him
Am I the only person that doesn't go to newspaper/magazine websites anymore because of how fucking poorly designed and full of retarded ads they are?
BBC recently redesigned their website and its horsey as hell. Still, the best source with no ads to deal with and decent hierarchy to the information. Der Speigal is pretty decent as well.
New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times etc aren’t all that bad. The worst sites I’ve seen for fucked up loading times are People, TMZ, and those celebrity gossip sites.
Honestly Drudge Report has a great format though the big ad space at the top is annoying. A few pics and simple links makes for fast loading and point click ease.
HuffPo is really marred by some of their advertising. Sometimes those big Flash ads take up the whole screen.

Geez, Jon Stewart and Oprah Winfrey are the only two on that list that I've heard of.
I give props for Jon Stewart for being willing to consistently mock Obama as much as he did with Bush.
I would not consider Oprah a pundit despite the occurrences of her throwing her publicity behind some liberal viewpoints.
Why is not "the View" on this list? Elizabeth Hasselbeck (if she's still on the show) was the only "conservative" there, out of 5 women.

Conservatives do tend to stick to their own POV more. I'd heard of all of em on the conservative list. With that said, a couple here are newspaper execs, who aren't usually public figures.

I've heard of most on the "conservative list" but only somewhat familiar with some of them.
I guess those on the "conservative list" just get better publicity.

You've heard of Oprah and Jon Stewart, but not Paul Krugman, Fred Hiatt, or Thomas Friedman.
Do you read anything except shitty political cartoons?

Oprah and Jon Stewart are consistently on TV.
Most of those on the "conservative list" are also regularly on TV.
"Pundits" who attempt to get their message out via TV as the media medium tend to be more successful publicity-wise.
Besides, who has time to read anymore? (hence TV for the short-attention-span American public)

From the disparate medias of these two lists, I'd say liberals do.
Media is totally user driven. TV is not the main source anymore... users choose their media in a much more focused way now.

This is the same place that gave Obama an anticipatory nobel peace prize. Really... he got his prize for Bush bashing like everyone else, it was purely political.

Damn. That medal totally goes to people who vote Democratic.

1967 Gary S. Becker (1992)
2003 Steven Levitt
This is after not taking more than a handful of undergrad econ classes.

Actually, it isn't the same place. The Economics Prize is given by the Swedish Central Bank or some such, and the Peace Prize is given by Norwegians. The Economics Prize is not one of the original Nobel prizes.

Even when my imported babysitters were watching the Oprah show because nothing else was on, on the soap opera channels, I made sure to blind myself to that shit. I have never watched/heard/smelled Oprah. And for that, I am the better man.
Edit: In summation, F.A.Y.B.A.N.
