Anyone watch the last two segments with Bill Maher on Bill O'Reilly? It seems like Maher blasted O'Reilly out the water.

Thoughts? I find it funny that O'Reilly says he only believes the new testament and basically discredits the old testament.

Actually, My thread is more like, Maher is an idiot, he hates all religions.

No specific religion comes into play really.

Yet one of Bill's favorite guests on Real Time is Cornel West, a theologian/philosopher. He doesn't hate religion inasmuch as he hates dogma. Religious people like Cornel West he doesn't mind because West isn't dogmatic and hateful.

Well, he might be dogmatic, but he's not about to kill someone because they don't believe in black liberation theology.

Mmm, he agrees with most of what West says usually, and West is adamant that his views stem from his understanding of Christianity. Logically, if he hated all religions and the beliefs that stem from them, and West's beliefs stemmed from religion, he'd hate all West's beliefs. He doesn't, thus he doesn't hate all religions, which is all I was arguing. I didn't say he wasn't against religion. The word "inasmuch" does not imply a negation of the first term, it actually implies that the second term applies to the verb more than the first.
