Putting folks on ignore is just something I don't do. If I really want to ignore them, I have the self-control to just not read\respond to what they say. You'll find that everyone has something interesting to say at one point or another. What I DO love is when someone ignores you, then keeps talking shit. Pure and simple cowardice.

It depends who is saying it. Geoffani was banned from Psinet for doing what Bob/Tayre etc do on a regular basis (i.e. use various methods of calling someone homosexual as a means of insulting them).

Geoffani was probably more abusive in the way that he did it, but it seems to be a case of "If your face fits"...

In terms of how/why the word is used, I would agree. If it is a bunch of gay men referring to themselves as queer or fags, then you could argue that they are "reclaiming the word" or whatever you call it.

Edited to add The reason I told her to get over herself was because she had been ranting for the last few minutes about Melkinor, and Atreau how she was going to continue killing him, how she got pulled up for PvP because after Atreau had warn interacted her she and Reltov were killing him and just not letting it drop.... I figured this was a good place to ask this, even though it isn't a psinet snippet. I know that the channel OOC is considered just that OOC. Now I have read some instances where someone said this on OOC and got into a fight on it and went after whoever.

It has been stated that in doing so, thats bad, as in taking OOC IG. I can understand that. But tell me what the difference in doing that, and using OOC to tell someone to meet you here or there, along those lines. Is that not the same, but on a non violent level?

Using PSInet to chat with friends and have them meet you certain places in game for healing, hunting, fun, spells and what have you... as opposed to getting upset at something someone said on OOC and taking it out on their character in game with PvP with whom you've had somewhat limited to no interaction. That's bringing OOC in game in a negative light. There are definitely negative and positive instances of bringing OOC into the game when you look at it from that perspective.
