Well, I guess you didn't see my "Robbery" thread. I was robbed yesterday and they took both my TV's and my buddies xbox. They also took my laptop...left my xbox and some other valuable stuff around the house. I think he just went for the first things he saw and then ran when he went upstairs and woke up my roommate. It really sucks.

I say Poles are awesome because I killed the girl at the top of the lighthouse instead of giving into her demands and her polearm lasted me through the early 20's.

Crafting is really easy. REALLY EASY. You select the item and press Y in the inventory screen. It then gives you two options. One will break it down, the other will upgrade it. There is no "crafting" as in creating it from scratch but you can upgrade your stuff. Your skill in Metallurgy gives you up to 10 upgrades on any item. Then the have the respective specializations for armor/weapons/archery and then fusion. You can get up to 10 on each of those as well.

Fusion is welding two gems together to make a stronger one. Each point in fusion allows you to socket an item with a higher powered gem as well as to create higher powered gems. I would advise saving before you weld the gems together though because sometimes it's not always the effect you think you'll get out of it.

The environment was what kept me playing after the characters were a let down. It's beautiful and I'm eager to get another TV so I can finish exploring.

The characters aren't so bad after they have some real armor on them. The first bit is real shaky with their stubby little arms but you can't really tell after armor is introduced.

The only thing I haven't been able to figure out yet is the "Rusty Key" dungeon. I can't get the door to open. Most places you have a key for open automatically once you have the key for them. I've stood outside the door and tried as many things as I can think of and it still wont let me in.

Lastly, Sucker, I went melee first before respeccing to mage recently. I would advise having a set for an all blunt weapon, a set for an all slash weapon, and then a speed set where you were lighter armor and speedy boots. I used that as a pulling set with a bow so I could drag monsters from their camps alone. I didn't really "need" to because in fully upgraded Merc armor with a polearm you're pretty nasty anyway but you definitely want to have the ability to get away. Until you get the good stuff the giant scorpions will wax your ass.

Edit for another "Lastly": So far as I can tell there is no combat from riding. You can do damage to animals by running into them while mounted but it's not a lot of damage. 12-30 tops. No way to draw your weapon I can see either. Don't get too attached to your horse though. The Savannah is the only space you actually get to use him. You can't take him into the second area and I haven't seen any indication you can use him in the second chapter.

One other Q I have to anyone who might be as far along as me. I haven't been able to create a third effect for spells yet. It looks as though the option is there but I haven't been able to move down that far yet.

I have a spare TV at my ex's so I hope I'll be able to indulge myself to help my misery a little after being robbed.

Maybe the PC version is different in regards to the stubby arms thing? My character looks pretty pimp in his white leather armor. It's no DragonAge as far as characters though, and the dialog could be better, but so far it's pretty solid.

First let me just say that I'm sorry to hear that you got robbed but very excited to hear that they left your xbox for you. lol. I know that sounds weird but it's true. Take my tv I'd tell um, but don't take the box!

Actually, I had a friend who was robbed like 6 times in 2 years and we think it was always related to his roomates except for 1 time when he was staying in a motel and one of the cleaning people took his laptop and stuff. And when he went to tell the office they said they had no clue who it could have been. lol. So word of advice, never leave your laptop in the motel room after you leave.

As for myself, I have learned that 9 out of 10 times it seems like a robbery is directly related to who you have let into your house previously to the robbery. Even if it was months ago. Tweakers seem to have a memory all their own. lol. The drug is all they want, and one time I even had a person where I was living at stake out this guys apartment until he went into the laundry room which was in an external building and then while the guy was washing his clothes they went into his house with a small crew and tore it up and took as much as they could. I mean they are that crafty.

So I haven't been stolen from in a very long time. But that's because I don't let people anywhere near my stuff to even look at it. My Wife and daughter are the only people who have ever touched my computer (well, except for one of my wife's little 9 year old nieces one time, but that was for like 2 seconds), and the Xbox we do let them play, but the Xbox is actually not mine so that's my wife's responsibility. Although I do keep all the good games safe and I look after them. lol. If I left it up to her she would just leave them on top of the tv to get all scratched up. I can't do that I treat um like my babies. Cleaning them with a glasses rag and the whole bit.

Ok but onto the game. Thank you so much for the crafting instructions! I didn't know it was that easy. I thought I had to run back down to that forge or whatever it was and start pounding away with all different methods and such. And then having to find specific metals and such. So that makes that look a whole lot more appealing. In fact I'm going to give it a shot next time I play.

As far as the "dragging" part that you mentioned. That's awesome I totally forgot about that too. Aren't you able to use assassin moves in the game if you train in them? Like sneaking up behind someone and slicing their throat or whatever? And then you can drag um off somewhere? That would make certain areas a lot easier to deal with. But I do remember seeing something like that where you can sneak up behind them and use assassin moves and such. Maybe I'm losing my mind though....

As far as the rusty door. I haven't gotten that far yet. But I haven't been following the story mode either though because I'm not playing the game that way. So I may never find that door you're talking about. lol. My Wife is doing little side quests and such from time to time though so I'll probably be able to tie in certain scenarios with what you're talking about. As far as the sheer size of the islands is concerned, they are pretty huge when you open the map screen. I love that there is so much to explore as well. That's what turned me on to to the first game as well.

Yeah I may end up going to tank/pole arm route but I'm switching at the moment between shield/sword and two weapon combat because believe it or not I haven't even reached a high enough level to use any of the good swords that I have collected. I think I am like level 9 at the moment or something. Maybe 10 I have to check.

Have you had any success with necromancy yet? Have you raised the dead my friend? And had them walk, run, float, skitter into battle for you yet? Please...tell me. I'm very interested. As a side note, skeletons have always intrigued me when it comes to movies and games like the old Jason and the Argonauts movie where they are fighting the skellys at the end of the movie. A skeleton with any kind of weapon just looks bad ass to me I don't know why. Although I know they are the weakest of the dead you can summon it seems it was that way in the first game, but I like the fact that they are one of the first creatures you can summon.

I was gonna say I kinda fattened mine out when I created him so he's pretty muscular and built. Although I did have a skinny guy before that though. It seemed like the skinny guy could run faster. I am positive he could run better anyways. Or differently. The big guy I have now looks like he struggles a bit when he runs.

I just got the horse and went to sleep. I tried to draw my weapon and stuff, no can, so there is apparently no horseback fighting unless I'm doing it wrong.

Well, after you're done with this game, unless you have already tried it, you should the play the first and try to beat that one too just to say you did. The key to making that game playable is to simply turn off the voices of the characters. You can do that and you can still hear the sound effects from the animals and you're weapons and stuff. And the backround and such. So.....once you do that, the game is actually pretty amazing if you can get passed the graphics being a bit sub par. But.....they aren't horrible either. The graphics that is. I mean they aren't bad once you get used to them. Anyways the reason I'm saying is because I know you can fight from horseback in that game, and, you can pretty much use the horse throughout the entire game from what I remember. I never did beat it I only reached like level 20 in it so when I am done with this one I plan to go back and try and tackle that one as well.

Ign gave it a "passable" score of 6 out of 10

I don't agree with that score at all. At the very least I could see a 7. But never a 6. There is nothing about this game as a whole that deserves a 6 overall. In Europe where it's sold million of copies it got mostly 9's across the board. But as this game is European in nature, the Europeans have a different style to their video games and I must say if the Two Worlds series is a bench mark for their other games then I like their style in many ways more so than the other styles. I mean Oblivion was a fantastic game. There is no doubting that. But it fell short in ways that Two Worlds II doesn't. Everywhere Oblivion failed Two Worlds II has succeeded in. Least that's the way I see it.

This game makes Fable and Dragon Age look like child's play. It's like comparing a BLT sandwich on whole wheat bread with all fresh ingredients to a 2 day old peanut butter and jelly sandwich which is definitely Fable and less so Dragon Age but still qualifies because Dragon Age gives me that Harry Potter feeling which I don't like in my video games.

Nope I must admit I usually use the game Diablo to compare every RPG game I play to. And the Two Worlds series stacks up nicely against it. Better in fact in my opinion. And I also use the Kings Field series as well. In many ways the Two Worlds series rivals the depth of the Kings Field series, and the music. Nothing comes close to Kings Field on the secrets but, what game ever did? And no, not even Wolfenstein or Doom, which did have their fare share. I do remember the older generations of the Zelda series for the NES/SNES having a lot of secrets as well, but again, nothing even close to the Kings Field series for the PS1 and the PS2.

Horse riding could have been implemented better, it's a bit clunky and takes some getting used to. I hate that there's no "cruise control" and it'll just go down to a slow ass walk if you don't keep kicking it. I'd give the game so far a 7.

I'm willing to give it an 8. I rarely give a game a 9 or 10. I can't even give Oblivion a 10 (I can give it a 9) because the creatures are the same always. There's aren't many variations of them in the game. It gets old fighting the same old thing. The only thing that changes with the creatures in Oblivion is that they get older in level as you do. Automatically. I not only think that's entirely gay, I also think it's a half assed way to create depth in the creature system. I don't have that problem in Two Worlds 2.

And trust me, I have never really gotten that robot world feeling with the Two Worlds series like I did with Oblivion. The Robot World (where everything feels like it's the same no matter what you do) kicks in at Oblivion when you reach the higher levels in the game. In Two Worlds 2 it really never kicks in completely, because there is so much more to do in the game.

Now don't get confused. Just because I give the game an 8 doesn't mean it's not my favorite series of all time. It still is. It's just not as polished as it could be like Gelston said above. Had they implemented the housing system like they did in Oblivion, and polished a few areas in the game, I could easily give it a 10. And I haven't given a game that score in a long time. Although something tells me if I ever get the chance to play Demon Souls I just might have found that 10 once again. But I don't have a PS3. Though I may soon get one just for that game. Waiting to see what I get back in taxes this year. And you know a game is a 10 when all you did was see a trailer of it and you are willing to purchase an entire system just for the chance to play it.

The only time that has happened to me previously was with the game Resident Evil for the Playstation 1. I couldn't stop thinking about that game. I remember as a kid thinking to myself at the time when it was a lot of money to get a PS1 like $400 or something that I probably would never have a chance to play a game like that. Boy am I glad I was wrong. But yeah, definitely, since Resident Evil 1, I don't think I have given a game that kind of score. Though I have never played Doom 3 but have always wanted to try it.

Finally got the horse. Alright, I noticed the thing you were talking about now. The horse meter. Yeah it appears that you have to tap it until it fills up, and then when it drains you have to keep tapping it until it fills up again. In a way, I kind of like it, because it makes me remember that I'm riding a horse and not a machine. However, I did notice that I can kinda cruise a bit while the meter drains at least until it gets to the bottom and then I can tap it back up so there is kind of a relaxing point in between there.

Also, I figured out the alchemy potion making system. It's very simple. You select one of the herbs and you hit the y button. This will make the boiler appear on the left. Then, you can put up to 5 items in the boiler, although, you don't need to put all 5 if you don't want to, you can put any amount from 2 on up and combine any herbs you want and it will create something. I like the magic effects too that appear after the potion has been created. Then it will give you the stats on what you have created.

So after the items have been mixed, it will then give you the option to re-name your potion or to keep the original name it gives you. So you can call it jin and juice or whatever you want so that's pretty cool. Also, once the items have been mixed into a potion, it will appear as a magic scroll in your inventory. Which you can read any time you want but once the spell is cast from the scroll it is gone for good.

By the way I read that IGN review and it was utter horse shit. The guy who wrote it did a complete one sided review of it and you can tell he was rushing through it all very quickly in order to attempt to make you believe what he is saying, but because I have been playing the game I know what he said is complete bullshit. And then, he attempts to cap the game off with a score of 6. I can tell by the way he wrote the article, he didn't play the game for more than a minute. That was the worst review I have ever read in my life.

Sucker doesn't really read the things he writes before he hits "Post Quick Reply". It's fairly obvious because everything he rights is very hard to read and sounds like the way gnomes talk in the Dragon Lance series.

You get the picture. I got a good bit through the second chapter before my TV got stolen. I snagged the one I was letting my X borrow but the game doesn't fit on the screen and she lost the remote and the menu buttons on the actual TV are limited so no fix there. It's missing about two inches on either side are missing so I can't look at equipment or anything and the text is so small I can't read the quest logs.

I explored the rest of the island and bought my boat and stuff to sail around but there's not much else I can do without putting it on a bigger TV.

Hope you all have a wonderful Superbowl Sunday. I'll be mourning the loss of my dear friend "Samsung".

Turns out you can purchase musical instruments and learn to play them in the game too. Though it says it's a lot harder to play one than it looks. Sometimes you have to hit many keys in order to hit the right notes. It appears that you can also buy sheet music for them which allows you to play the song that's written on the sheet.

All I can tell you is, The makers of Elder Scrolls Skyrim better be taking notes. Because I don't care how pretty it looks, if you can't do half of what you can do in Two Worlds 2 than Skyrim just won't stack up against it. Shoot because of this game, all RPG's have a new benchmark they need to achieve if they expect credibility.

They all seem to have some point, and there are always

Gelston did you know that you can switch between armor settings with the touch of a button? I just found this out today.

So in other words, you can have your warrior armor and weapons on and all of that, and then there is a specific button you can press and you can instantly switch to your wizard clothing and weapons and such, and then there is room for one more setting.

If you already knew of this, could you please explain how this is done? My wife is gonna love this feature.

Also, do you know the exact stats on the size of the World in Two Worlds 2 vs the size of the World in Oblivion? I have the stats on the World in Oblivion but not for Two Worlds 2. I believe Two Worlds 2 is bigger and better though. Wouldn't you agree?

Also, there are 4 chapters in the game. So chapter 2 would theoretically be 50% complete.

Yes and like I said 4 chapters you are on chapter 2 so that is 50% no?

So the buttons are on the bottom? And how do I utilize that feature? What do I press to switch? How do I save the settings and such?

Any information you can provide on this would be most helpful.

As far as PC version, you click one of the buttons down there, equip how you want, the select the next, equip that... So button one could be melée, 2 archer, 3 magic. When you click it goes to those settings.

I also found out that there is a team death match option in the multiplayer setting. I didn't know this I thought there was only single player death match. The thought of teaming up with other players in a tournament setting is pretty cool.

2 points. First, your characters armor is bomb in that 3rd picture especially. Bomb as in good.

Second, that is awesome. lol. I mean if I didn't know better I'd say you were playing a Japanese themed game. And just before this you were running around in the African Sahara like something out of an Indiana Jones movie.

I'm telling you, the effects of this game on the Human Conscience are going to slowly materialize as the months pass on. Some people who may be reluctant to try it due to the first one are eventually going to try it our of sheer curiosity. And when they do, they will give it a whole new level of respect.

Alright I have some updates.

Three cool things I found out about.

1. Summoning and Necromancy appear to be two different things. Necromancy has different kinds of cool spells but not necessarily for summoning creatures that's whole different spell set.

For example I have a Necromancy corpse effect spell which drains 25% of an opponents life force if it hits them with spectral damage.

2. I have a portable teleport device that I found. I can drop it on the ground anywhere and as long as I have a clear line of sight to the sky, I can teleport anywhere in the game that has a teleport. For people who understand how huge the World in this game is, they will understand how utterly awesome this is.

3. I finally used one of those little monkey skull looking things with the spinal cord coming out of the back of it's head. And it gives you temporary clairvoyancy skills. In other words I can psychically look around the area anywhere I want with my mind over building tops through alleyways etc. in real time.

The more I play this game, the more I am beginning to realize how it woops Oblivions ass.

Ok so we bought a house, the house was awesome. (My wife decided to buy one for 50,000).

Now I was impressed because unlike Fable where you need to buy this and buy that for the house, this one already comes furnished. Not to mention the sheer size of it all. I mean there has to be like 15 different rooms in this house, complete with secret locked chests and books and such in each one, which you can pick open to collect the loot. Storage facilities as well, everything you need.

I was impressed with the details of each room. Lit candles and the carpets on the floor and everything goes very nicely together. At least in this house. This one is more like a mansion.

Now we were also given a deed to another house. This one is a complete piece of shit. It looks like it's about to fall in the ocean and it is indeed right on the ocean. Made out of old wooden boards and such and it has no walls really other than a few broken down ones. The boats outside are all wrecked and messed up and unusable. So in this case, because we got it free, I guess we can't complain too much.

We also made it to chapter 2 recently. But we have yet to explore the Island. I think I'll have more info on that today.

That's actually a funny review.

Now obviously that review is purely entertainment quality only. It brushes very lightly upon a few things in the game, and I do say a few because it doesn't even cover a fraction of what the game has to offer.

Not to mention that it is clearly biased in the favor of a purely negative review all be it from a funny viewpoint. And then goes so far as to attack other awesome western RPG's in the process, such as Oblivion, Fallout, etc. As if Eastern RPG's are superior to Western? I don't think so, both have their strongpoints.

Aside from a few laughs though I wouldn't take the review seriously at all because it clearly isn't meant to be taken seriously. And that's what I like about it actually. But again, it doesn't do justice to the game at all, and therefore should be regarded as nothing but a weak attempt at a review of the game and a good attempt at humor.

Well, let me just say that Chapter two has a beautiful World all of it's own. The island is more tropical than the first chapter. Instead of a barren landscape there are palm trees and breezy winds, along with oriental themed buildings and a vast ocean view that can only be appreciated in game.

I've also found the boat, and can now use it to sail around the ocean. However it is not as easy as just getting in the thing and sailing. The wind has to be facing a certain direction, as well as my sail, etc., otherwise I won't be going anywhere. So the designers took the time to make it as realistic as possible which I appreciate. If you sail against the wind (in some cases you have to) there is a trick to that as well.

Aside from the sounds of monkeys and other tropical animals in the backround, you can actually wander into the jungle, which is where things get really interesting. There are black panthers in this chapter (who doesn't love black panthers?) and they are very intelligent. They will stalk you in the tall jungle grass and you can't even see them, and then at the least expected moment they will leap out of the grass and attack, and then leap back into the grass and hide again. Very smart AI on these panthers. Wait until night time when the Moon and the Stars are out and these things are in their natural environment, and you will see the true beauty that is this game.

Anyways, so far, this chapter is amazing. As was the first, which had more of a middle eastern theme to the buildings, including the nice view you could get when you walked on tops of them like in the game Assassins Creed.

But as with the first Two Worlds, the designers of this game give you rewarding landscapes and enemies and such the deeper you get into the game and the more time you put into it. And you have to put time into it if you expect to make it to the next chapter. So anyways, this game is awesome as usual, I've said it before and I'll say it again, this series just keeps on getting better and better.

Have you started playing it?

If so, can you tell me a bit about the direction you are taking your character in?

What do you like about the game? Have you seen some of the cool landscapes yet? Have you wandered off and gotten lost yet (I did many times) lol. Especially in the beginning.

By the way one thing I learned is that you can swim around and get to other islands and such that are nearby but if you want to get to some of the farther away islands it appears that you would have to do the quests because in order to get the boat I am not sure there is any other way unless perhaps you can use some cheat codes. My wife was telling me that there is a way to spawn a horse anytime in the game and so possibly there is also a way to spawn a boat. I'm not sure though.

Ok so I finally figured out how to summon creatures. You just have to first find a summons card at one of the shops that sells cards. There are 4 shops at the tower near queens crossroads that if you keep checking every day and cycling through them you will eventually find one.

Then, once you have the card, all you do is click on one of your effect spells. Fire effect, Water effect, Corpse effect, Stone effect, Earth effect, Poison effect, etc., and then you combine one of those spell groups with your summoning card and based upon the amount of points you have trained in summoning you can summon multiple creatures at once.

At the moment I am able to summon 4 creatures at once. I think this is because of the fact that I haven't put that many points into summoning, or, it could be that 4 is the max you can summon at one time.

Either way it's awesome. So far I have summoned 4 insect looking things, very ugly looking, and 4 wolf looking type things which are less ugly looking but still very creepy. The insects were just too creepy though. lol. Everytime they were following me I kept twitching to hit them because they really do spook ya a bit. Makes ya feel like they could attack you at any time even though they won't.

But the good news is, you can mix and match. You can summon a wolf, an insect, and a scorpion all at once if you want. Or anything the game allows you to summon. Which is an enormous amount of things. Oh and I've also noticed that sometimes they will come out having different colors even if they are the same species, possibly giving them different attributes I'm not sure.

So, yep, the game keeps getting better and better. Like usual. I'll keep ya posted as always though.

Ok so about the 4 max, not true. I can summon practically an entire army. I lost count how many things can actually be summoned at once. It is definitely over 10. But the more points I train in summoning the greater amount of things I can summon as well as their levels, etc.

And something else I must say about the creatures in this game. I've never seen creatures with as much speed as some of the creatures in this one have. I mean the way they move, so fluid like, and they dart in and out of the grass, it's so realistic. Chapter 2 is amazing. The Jungle. The creatures are extremely smart too. Even with an army of around what seems like 15 summoned creatures, just one of the higher level beasts is still a challenge for my summoned army. It's crazy! lol. I love this game! =)
