Palin finished her book! It's coming out on November 17. That's earlier than people expected. But it's going to be 400 pages, which is awfully long.
The book now has a title, one fitting for a public figure known for the unexpected — "Going Rogue: An American Life."
Harper, an imprint of HarperCollins, has commissioned a huge first printing of 1.5 million copies. Sen. Ted Kennedy's "True Compass," published by Twelve soon after his Aug. 25 death, also had a 1.5 million first printing.
As with the Kennedy book, the digital edition of Palin's memoir will not be released at the same time as the hardcover. "Going Rogue" will not be available as an e-book until Dec. 26 because "we want to maximize hardcover sales over the holidays," Harper spokeswoman Tina Andreadis said Monday.
Publishers have been concerned that e-books, rapidly becoming more popular, might take away sales from hardcover editions, which are more expensive.

I didn't think she could focus long enough to read 400 pages, let alone write them.

I will bet that either she had a ghost writer, or that a full half are wholly incomprehensible.

Someone should put out a parody that is half a badly-done coloring book and half random notes squiggles that would make the una-bomber embarrassed. Every other sentence must have the word mave-rick.

Could always be 400 pages of stick figures staring at Russia from her yard heh

She wasn't joking. I saw Russia from my backyard the entire summer I was up there. It's pretty intimidating.

I loathe politicians writing books. Hire them to be doers, not sayers, right? I am automatically distrustful of the charismatic ones anyways (so all/most). But Palin's a bit of a tart undercover so I expect hers to be like Chelsea Handler without the liquor. If Chelsea Handler was forced to act normal and have children instead of midgets. The book will be restrained. Condusive to sleep. The opposite of fun. Very boring.
Will not read!

I endorse this idea, but only if it's a flip book.

That pic is damn funny.
And if you make it a flip book, will it have stand up wildlife and oil derricks or maybe a pop up Russian ICBM?

No, it's a flip book not a pop-up book. It could have those things in stick figure form though. I think other than staring at Russia, she should do things like shoot wolves and prance around in a bikini. What else is she good at?
