Thank goodness we still have a vocal group of Republicans in Congress to stand up for what is right. Otherwise, we would irrecoverably plunge into immorality.
WASHINGTON (BP)--Sen. Sam Brownback, R.-Kan., has introduced legislation to prohibit the creation of human-animal hybrids.
If enacted, the Human-animal Hybrid Prohibition Act, S. 1435, would bar the creation of beings made from the genetic material of both people and animals. Without a ban, such hybrids could be created for research purposes in laboratories.

The article says that "tampering with the human germ-line could be the equivalent of setting a time-bomb that might detonate many generations down the line."
I've been thinking about boycotting Old Spice because their commercials (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AD-O0n7YPJQ) appear to approve of human-animal hybrids.

I'm not thinking that breeding chimera is what they're thinking about.
I worry that this law would prevent, say, growing a new ear on a mouse's back.
Well, whatever. I, for one, welcome our new grizzly-human overlords.

And where do you stop? Heart valves can be made using pig valves. You would prefer to see someone die than get said replacement?

I'm not thinking that breeding chimera is what they're thinking about.I see they don't broadcast Full Metal Alchemist in Libertarianopolis. It starts with chimera, next thing you know we've got homunculi running around impersonating Obama and the Pope, and somehow a big gate with eyes factors in? I never really figured out what was up with that, thematically.

I wonder if they could make a human-dinosaur hybrid. Imagine what Wesley would do.

And then, all of a sudden, you're stuck in WWII, getting wtfpwned by a blimp.
Libertarianopoleans do enjoy the occasional Anime.

So when they determine that a genome from Chimpanzee's can induce an immunity to HIV, or one from a tortoise might extend the healthy human life expectancy to 200 years?
Do we put all of that aside for the fear that the furries might take over Congress?

Furries can't be any worse than the current crop of asses. Well, they could, but still, I am not all that worried, really. Not sure that we should extend the lifespan though, a lot of people waste what they have now, much less another 100 years of the same, imagine the welfare burden then.
