There's so much politics behind this move, that I can't even begin to comment on what to do about it.

But- China and Russia today backed a UN reso. from Japan and the US as a sort of sanction. *shrug*

I predict some type of military action from North Korea within the next year or so

Perhaps it's a ploy to get more foreign aid?

"Ok, fine, we'll disarm, but you gotta give us this, this and this"

Well yeah that is probably what will happen as they keep doing it. They'll show that the sanctions are having a negative impact on the lives of the North Koreans and not give any of them the aid that comes in. I believe someone really needs to do something because the North Koreans are living horrible lives, poorest of the poor. I mean look at a night satelite of the world, north korea is completely black, even countries in Africa have more lights than them.

The testaments from people who have escaped North Korea are telling in themselves.

How many times are they going to pull this ploy?

How many times are they going to pull this ploy?

How many times will it achieve desired results?

Mreh I didn't know that.

Kind of creepy if it is since Lisa Ling did a huge expose on NK, their human rights violations and just their culture in general.

I have trouble feeling sympathy for the journalists. When you illegally sneak into an unstable country this is probably the best of the worst case scenarios.

Much like that kid who got caned in singapore a few years ago, I hope they're ok but they're getting what's coming to them.

I guess because I appreciate the info they bring out from illegally going in, I feel more sympathy for them. Not to mention I think it'd be stupid to not take into consideration that Lisa Ling's info made NK look bad in a big way.. I see no reason to believe her sister isn't held responsible for that.
