A reporter for a small newspaper was forcibly removed from a press area near Air Force One shortly before President Barack Obama arrived at Los Angeles International Airport to depart California early Thursday.
Airport security officers carried the woman away by the feet and arms as she protested her removal.
She later identified herself as Brenda Lee, a writer for the Georgia Informer in Macon and said she has White House press credentials. The newspaper's Web site says it is a monthly publication, and a Brenda Lee column is posted on it.
Calls to the newspaper and the White House press office were not immediately returned.
Lee said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press that she wanted to hand Obama a letter urging him "to take a stand for traditional marriage."

Is this the sort of thing Christian journalists should expect from Obama? The journalist, who says that she is a Catholic Priestess whose "credentials out weigh that of Benedict XVI" -- something I don't necessarily agree with since women should not be priests -- has been an outspoken supporter of morality (http://www.gainformer.com/Files/Time%27s%20Up%20by%20Brenda%20Lee.htm). She deserves better treatment. And Christian journalists deserve the same access as secular journalists.

That is one less journalist to cover his $30,000 per plate and photo op, and his $1,500-3,000 per person auditorium seating, fund raisers.
Local officials asked him to do a free public speech, but he didn't have time for the little people without money.

It's because she's black.

Yea.
And if the "republicans" would make some attempt to disassociate themselves with raging lunatics like this, and stop trying to legislate morality based on a religion fewer and fewer people in this country follow, they might actually have a shot at not looking like dumbasses every other day. Sorry, every day.

Actually, you would have Jackson and Sharpton going on the TV, demanding why the Republican President is such a racist and saying "See! The WHITE HOUSE doesn't allow BLACK PEOPLE on their plane! It's an outrage!" Then you would have Colin Powell saying the Republicans need to be the party of inclusion and not exclusion.. and that people that barely vote for Republicans can still call themselves Republicans!

Well there is another version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6xStVun3bM) of the video where she appears to say that.

I missed the part where it said she was a republican. Can you post it?
In CA the many voters against gay marriage were democrats. It has even been shown that religious black democrats that showed up to vote for Obama helped pass Prop 8.

Why do you lie like this? Everyone knows it was the Republicans that were solely to blame for the gay marriage ban.
Why are you such a racist?

If you follow the link and read the entire article, she claims to be a Roman Catholic priestess. You're right, it might be an assumption on my part but Catholics - even crazy ones - tend to follow a conservative political agenda, especially on subjects like abortion and same sex marriage.
My bad on the assumption, but it might a fairly safe one.

It's not. There are many Democrats who are Catholics.

And there are many religious blacks of all denominations that stand against gay marriage, like Obama.
Here in Cleveland, Ohio the main body of people against a "Civil Partner Registry" were religious blacks, and Cleveland is not known as a bastion of the GOP.

Heh.. I love the logic that some gay people use to excuse Obama for having the same exact opinion about gay marriage as the GOP does.
Edited to add: Personally, I'm for gay marriage. What difference does it make to me?

They'll steal twice as many flowers from your yard?
I agree with the earlier stated question "where's Sharpton and Jackson?"...

Can you imagine the uproar if the Secret Service under GW had dragged off a black female journalist?

Seriously. But because Obama is black and a Democrat, it's all good in the hood.
