Because of her national notoriety, two of Governor Palin's appointments in Alaska are getting national attention.
First, when Palin followed the Alaska Constitution by naming a Democrat (http://www.adn.com/news/government/legislature/story/740971.html) to replace a retired Democrat state senator, a bunch of liberals got upset just because the man converted from a Republican to a Democrat a few weeks before the appointment. Palin followed the law, and no one should be upset. If the framers of the Alaska Constitution thought the person needed to have a long history of party affiliation, then they should have said so.
Second, Certain People are upset about the man Palin named (http://community.adn.com/node/139739) as Alaska Attorney General. Apparently, wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, which I imagine many Alaskans do, and writing in the lawyer newsletter about how homosexuals are "immoral" and "degenerates" has somehow become politically incorrect.
Well I think the liberal media should concentrate on who Obama is appointing more than they worry about what is happening in Alaska.
