View Full Version : It's a Scandal! It's a Outrage!

Young Dunkley wanted to go hunting with his grandfather, whose age and health mean that there may only be a few years left for a hunting trip. But Dunkley's parents would not allow Dunkley to take the required hunter safety course to get an Oklahoma hunting license unless Dunkley raised his grades at school. Dunkley studied really hard and raised his GPA to a B.
When Dunkley and his dad, Reddy, went to the hunter safety course in Broken Arrow, the instructor asked if anybody in the class voted for Obama.
Reddy, a transplanted Californian — and former Marine — raised his hand.
According to Reddy and others in the room, Wolf called Obama "the next thing to the Antichrist" and ordered Reddy and Dunkley from the room. When Reddy refused, Wolf said he would not teach "liberals" and would cancel the course if Reddy didn't leave.
So Reddy and Dunkley left, as did a few others.

I say they should not have fired the instructor. If he was uncomfortable teaching Democrats, then the government shouldn't force him to do it, especially since his refusal to teach was based on his religious beliefs. It was a religous issue with him because he thinks Obama is the next thing to the Antichrist.
Doesn’t that fly in the face of the Second Amendment? Who was the instructor to decide who and who is not covered by it? And since when has religion had anything at all to do with it?
A firearms instructor refusing someone their right to bear arms, whether for political or religious reasons, is the ultimate in hypocrisy.

It doesn't have anything to do with the Second Amendment. It has to do with the instructors right to refuse to perform services to which he objects for reason of conscience.

Instructors need to teach by the policies and procedures of the school. They can't act individually based on "conscience". It wasn't for him to decide who is and isn't eligible to learn.
I know you're just posting for shock value, I'm just throwing that out there for the people who really do think this way and make me want to stab them in the throat.

Sounds like sound judgment.
If you were dumb enough to vote for Obama you probably shouldn't be using a weapon. Besides, that keeps the sides disparately trained for any upcoming revolutions.
;)
What a psycho. I wonder if he's one of those wack jobs trying to convince us that our gun rights will be infringed upon with Obama in office. I love me some good ole irony.

He voted against a bill (SB2165, 2004) allowing a person a self-defense protection for using a handgun in defense in their own home.
He did not sign on with 55 Senators and 250 House members in the brief sent to the SCotUS claiming the DC gun ban was unconstitutional (which it agreed with).
He wanted to make it a felony against the homeowner if a gun was stolen and used in a crime, where it could be proven the gun was "unsecured".
He wanted to limit purchases to once a month, and ban all gun sales at gun shows except for "antiques".
But...
He states he supports individual ownership of guns, with the caveat of allowing local, state and federal restrictions and supporting additional licensing and taxation.
He supported (SB2188, 2004) allowing retired police (and retired military police) to carry concealed weapons.
It really seems a nuanced position, but makes it hard to state exactly where he stands.
The irony is that Old Billy Wolf was doing the very thing people like the ones I'm referring to in my quote profess to be so against.
Obama's voting record is pretty shady, and I attribute a lot of that to the progressive anti-handgun political atmosphere that still smothers Chicago. He'll have to take a firm stand at some point.

No matter how true that is  He should of been fired because he was working for a govt program and the govt should not be allowed to discriminate. Now if he was running a class on his own dime on his personal property I feel he has a right to kick out anyone he sees fit.

You mean like this?
Attorney General Eric Holder"Well, as President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons. I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum."

He was a volunteer, not a paid worker, and was let go. According to the article:
"I got the call at 8:30, and by 9 o'clock (Wolf) was no longer a volunteer for us."
But my first post was done jokingly, I admit. Mostly.

Yes he was a volunteer, but he was still working for the govt. and fired/let go is pretty much the same.
