... releases a new book, shows up for a book signing, and what does he get? 11 people that bothered to listen to him (most were in the store doing other things), and 5 that bothered to buy a copy for him to sign.

It is funny because they call him Joe the Plumber but his name is not actually Joe and he is not a plumber anymore but he was somehow under the impression that someone gave enough of a damn about his whiny ass having to pay taxes even though he had back taxes already enough to write a book and stop being a plumber.
In other news, Politics is a sham, just like Samuel the "Plumber"

Except that, in most cases, whenever a group of politicians sign something into law, we the taxpayers of the united states, are footing the bill.
oh, and generally speaking, we rarely benefit.

No disagreement there, but I have a strict policy against posting anything that even hints at any amount of substance. A line has been drawn in the sand, and I left my flip flops at the house and sand is hot so I am riding on a blimp instead!

Well he's going into construction .... because he knows his days of being a "not" plumber were done.
He has failed as a journalist ... he has apparently failed at having someone else write a book for him. I wonder how he's going to work out as a construction worker.

although his attempt at a career was an "epic fail", I think that his emergence clearly points to a need for more working class people to have a voice in the media, outside of "well, the twister tore up mah trailer".
What I'm trying to get at is that, the people on the "soapboxes" don't often come from working class lives so they are clearly unaware of what the people need.

True, but "Joe" was a "well, the twister tore up mah trailer" kind of guy.

Except that his soapbox was that he was going to be wealthy someday and didn't want to pay the taxes that went along with it.
Go figure.
I would so pay money to see Joe compete on "Are you smarter than a 5th grader".
