The agreement only moves the package toward a final vote, but they think it'll go through. I'm quite annoyed that the news story doesn't spell out exactly what's involved, though.

We should somehow feel good about this... it's ONLY 780 BILLION dollars. It's down from 930 BILLION dollars, so grats on saving 150 BILLION dollars.
I can't wait to see the details of what was cut out and what remained... and which spineless Republicans once again sold out their values to suckle the on the tit of Big Government.

At least the Iraq war had appreciable results. Toppled a government, killed a dictator, replaced it with a budding democracy. This is like pissing in the wind.

Actually, it's not less than the Iraq War... but then again, anyone with an internet connection and 2 working brain cells could figure that out.

I take it that with your 2 brain cells you're making the following assumptions:
1) The cost of the stimulus should be accounted for based on its projected cost, and
2) The cost of the Iraq War should be accounted for only as the costs are actually incurred.

I can't tell if this is bait or not so I'm not going to respond. Except with this, probably.

Good luck. You pay taxes and aren't a big voting block of the Democratic Party.

Even the Democrats who do have tax liabilities don't actually pay them, amirite?

But I now have the audacity to hope (for a check).
