Despite all his plans to help families (http://www.whitehouse.gov/agenda/family/), Obama does not have any plan to address the big negative impact on families caused by the excessive playing of video games.
A new study (http://www.scienceblog.com/cms/video-games-linked-poor-relationships-friends-family-18310.html) shows that people who play video games have weaker relationships with their families.
One way that President Obama could address this problem is to restrict the amount of time per week that people spend playing video games. It doesn't have to be an outright restriction (if you play more than one hour per week, you go to jail). It could be more of an indirect restriction (if you don't play more than one hour per week, you get a tax credit).
That's my recommendation to the new president.
Get back to us when you figure out a way to enforce/prove video game usage in each household.

Gan, if you're playing on a computer connected to the internets, then they already know.

...
You have to be the worst attempt at a syndicated Internet personality of Stephen Colbert I've ever seen.
That said, I'm going to go play Fallout 3 and then mesmetron my kids into slave labor.

Without going all Orwellian on me. How do you account for stand alone game systems that are not connected to the internet, and that do not require internet connectivity to work... (xbox, wii, etc.) Thats also not counting handheld devices such as PS2 and DS.
Again, when you can enforce and or monitor usage then get back to me about producing legislation backing or enforcing such measures.
I guess you could always pray about it.

Of the United States? Restricting video game usage isn't very Land of the Freeish.

Actually its:
...study shows that people who have weaker relationships with their families tend to play video games a shit ton more than families active well adjusted parents who give a shit what their children are spending time doing.

That reminds me...what was the fucking point of leg warmers anyway? If your exercising, shoudln't your body be heating up anyway, negating the need for leg warmers?
Or was it just one of the many gay fashions of the 80s with no other purpose than to think you look cool while exercising?
