Here we go again. I say we just let Israel take back the Gaza and anything else they want.

Here is one of the many articles in case you have been living in a cave the past few days. Happy Chanukah.

Agreed.

Let the one with the bigger guns win.

Yea...that'll work.

No, it wont.

Evidently nothing will work over there?

There's a lot of things that can be done, but it involves the world, more specifically the US, to stop coddling Israel and to take a neutral stance. That's not to say that Hamas or the palestinians are not equally to blame but we need to stop blantantly taking sides in a conflict that is only hurting our strategic interests in the region.

Here's an idea.. maybe Hamas should stop lobbing their little rockets into Israel?

Great idea.. keep fucking with Israel.. because they've shown amazing restraint during their short history...

The next time one of The Arab U.N. seats does a mystical Palestinian bellydance of magical sympathy, I will personally smuggle a bunch of Palestinians in my minivan to the United Nations council so that all the Middle Eastern ambassadors can finally be reunited with their brethren they so long to be united with.

And no, the average Israeli Arab in Gaza or the West Bank/Palestine/whatever-the-fuck-you-want-to-call-it should not be responsible for a few derelicts who keep initiating first strike shoulder missiles.

I also hope that Mexico and Canada throw M-80s across the border so we can annex them.

This is the Palestinian method of PR. Constantly provoke Israel, and then run and hide in schools and hospitals and densely packed neighborhoods. When Israel bites back, cry to the world with pictures of dead babies and dead civilians, saying what a monster Israel is.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

I have very little sympathy for people who elected a recognized terrorist group to be their government, or who cheered and danced in the street on 9/11.

But yeah, this image pretty much sums up my feelings:

The IDF has Arabic Generals within its ranks. Chances are, the only time they threw stones was at the once-at-least pilgramage to Mecca and a bunch of other shit I know about that won't change anyone's opinion.

I'm rooting for the Shinto religion to prevail because I want Jerusalem to have a Pokemon theme. Go me and eat a multi-racial/ethnic/religious dick y'all.

Even if Israel blows the hell out of Hamas, it still won't solve the actual problem of a Palestinian state. They've still got to dismantle a lot of West Bank settlements and figure out what to do about Jerusalem.

That's not to say Hamas shouldn't get its ass kicked. It deserves a good stomping. But stomping Hamas to a bloody pulp isn't the end all of this.

BTW...

I have very little sympathy for people who elected a recognized terrorist group to be their government

2 points to keep in mind:

1. Hamas winning the election is a failure that can be laid squarely at the feet of the Bush administration. (Cue PB and others rolling their eyes here without reading the rest of the argument) This is because the Bush administration pushed Fatah to hold the elections as early as possible. The problem was that Fatah did not have its own house in order yet, esp. in Gaza. So what happens? For many seats, you would have multiple Fatah candidates running (one as the official Fatah candidate, and the rest as independents), and one Hamas candidate running. The Fatah candidates would split the Fatah loyalists vote, and the Hamas candidate would capture a plurality and win.

2. While Hamas may have won in a democratic election for the Palestinian Authority, they most certainly seized Gaza in an undemocratic manner. The Palestinian people did not vote for that to happen.

Even if Israel blows the hell out of Hamas...

They're doing that for certain. The IDF started its own page on the Youtube to showcase how Hamas' weapons are to those of Israel.

WASHINGTON (AFP) — The Israeli military has launched its own channel on video-sharing website YouTube, posting footage of air strikes and other attacks on Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.

The spokesman's office of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it created the channel -- youtube.com/user/idfnadesk (http://www.youtube.com/user/idfnadesk) -- on Monday to "help us bring our message to the world."

The channel currently has more than 2,000 subscribers and hosts 10 videos, some of which have been viewed more than 20,000 times.

Hey I don't advocate Israel stomping hamas just because. But seriously.. if there is ONE nation on this planet that you know not to fuck with it's ISRAEL.

They're bringing their own house of pain down. Sadly.

I'm all for peace and happiness and a S.E.A.L. team.

OMG IT R BUSH'S FAULT!

The all but direct campaigning for Fatah by the Bush administration was one of the direct causes of legitimizing Hamas as a political entity.

That ascension to power was one of the reasons Israel sealed the borders and began instituting a blockade.

Closing down the borders resulted in rocket/rpg attacks upon Israel from the other side of said boarder ... that and the tunnels that have sprung up along the Egyptian-Palestinian border.

Bush doesn't carry the sole burden of the blame, but he has his fair share of it.

It's kind of hard to not fuck with someone when they're in your backyard blockading you.

If this was Texas we were talking about you wouldnt even entertain having that shit and guarantee you'd be trying to do more than fire a few rockets.

From the image I'd say that eight years of the current economic strategy and all but a total lack of infrastructure funding ... yes, Bush probably had something to do with it.

You forgot to add that obviously Bush caused the floods via global warming that caused this road to be washed away. Or does Bush just now control the weather?

Every administration prior to Bush's diligently addressed our decaying infrastructure and besides it wasn't really a problem until Bush took office.

"Sir, our infrastructure is in very bad shape. It's been getting progressively worse with each administration."

"I'm the decider and I've going to decidificate that it's going to cost too much to initiate an initiative that will initiaficate what needs to be done. So I'm going to decide that it's a problem for the next administration."

"Sir, another bridge just collapsed"

"Remember when Morocco offered us those 2000 monkeys to take out land mines in Iraq? I just got an idea ... and who doesn't like monkeys."

Ok, a little reality check here. The Bush administration advocated democracy as a solution. America’s greatest export, right?

Well that bit everyone in the ass when the Palestinians voted Hamas in power.

I’m not going to pretend I know everything about the conflict in that part of the world but it seems to me that if you (the Bush “administration”) are going to ride your high horse about giving the “people” democracy you should not cry when they choose something you (the Bush “administration”) disagree with.

It took you far less time to seriously try to blame a road collapse (that anyone with 1/4 of a brain could tell wasn't caused because the actual road collapsed) on the Bush Administration. At LEAST Kemball, in his own ignorance, graced us with something at least PLAUSABLE.

How about we make 2009 a year where you at least TRY to instill some semblance of intelligence in your posts? Just try?

If you think any of those responses took an effort on my part, then perhaps you would be better off making another thread about the train wreck you call a life.

The moment you insert the word "intelligent", or any synonym of the word for that matter, marks the point in which the post becomes comedy in every plausible aspect.

That's beside the point ... you're behind on the rent.

To no one in particular -

Do you find it fruitless to argue with a man whose signature belies a mission statement of pure and simple 'annoyance?'

Because I would find that to be irritating. Yes, that shit would definitely irritate me.

If it did annoy me, I'd be annoyed for allowing it to annoy me; and then the two annoys would cancel each other out. And these walls would listen to me. Yargh.
