Buchanan, US Attoney for Western PA ... a political appointee to the position, has vowed not to resign when Obama assumes office.
M.B.B has a long history of (well long enough for a person holding the position for seven years) of controversial cases ... Such as spending 13 mill in tax dollars to send Tommy Chong on a nine month federal holiday .... and a slew of "obscenity/porn" prosecutions ... not to mention being in the middle of the attorney firings
Who wins this fight?

Because he's black.
Duh because he has extra leg muscles of course he'll kick her ass.
Put strychnine in her guacamole?Haha. Also, "Mary Beth, we're gonna need to go ahead and move you downstairs into storage B. We have some new people coming in, and we need all the space we can get. So if you could just go ahead and pack up your stuff and move it down there, that would be terrific, OK?"

There is a striking resemblance with Milton when it comes to greasy hair.

Since the President has the right to fire her any time he wishes, I would assume that Obama will win, since he has all the say in the situation and she has none.
Should be fun though to see the crazy ass liberals scramble to justify her firing... since they have had such a hardon for Gonzalez for dismissing attorneys that disagree politically with Bush.
Pretty smart move for her.. extending her political career. Had she simply up and resigned as is traditional... her political career would most likely be dead.
Set her house on fire?
Winner.

Its traditional because every sane person knows its better to leave a party voluntarily then get dragged out by the police kicking and screaming. The politically smart move is to just pack your shit and look for a new job not become known as the person who refused to quit until she was unceremoniously fired.

Not if your ambitions take you out of the courtroom. She's shown signs of wanting to broaden her power into elected office.. what better way than this is available to her? I doubt many people know who Mary Beth Buchanan is.. but if she is kicked to the curb like most believe she will be.. she will get free publicity and gain the support of most Republicans as a symbol of the double standard the Left often portrays. What other avenue is available to her to gain her that type of national notoriety?

United States Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the president.
March 6, 2007
Washington, D.C. – Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Lamar Smith (R-TX) today issued the following statement regarding today’s hearing on U.S. Attorneys:
"U.S. Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President and all U.S. Attorneys know that," said Ranking Member Smith. "President Clinton asked all 93 U.S. Attorneys to resign when he took office and dismissed many others during his time in office."
"Every President has to right to hire U.S. Attorneys who support their policies," he continued. "The Department of Justice had understandable reasons for dismissing each of these attorneys, none of which had to do with political retribution."
Smith concluded, "The Department has explained this to the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee. The Democrats refuse to listen, because they are more interested in partisan politics than the truth."

Jon Stewart explained on his show last year about the "pleasure of the president (http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=83634&title=pleasure-of-the-president)."

Why would crazy ass liberals have to scramble to find a justification? She's being insubordinate and that's grounds for firing anywhere.
You obviously don't understand the allegations against Gonzalez, namely that he fired people for not pursuing politically motivated witch hunts, but hey, keep thinking they are the same thing.

Where is the insubordination? Because she has decided not to quit? Where is it stated that she must resign? Is that an actual law or merely a tradition? If it's a law, then she should be terminated for not following the law. If it's a tradition.. then you are sorely mistaken for calling it insubordination.
Gonzalez terminated people that he/Bush believed were not doing their job. Bush made the HUGE blunder of not asking for most of these people to leave when he took office.. he decided to rectify that mistake in his 2nd term.
I see you've already decided to see a difference in these instances where there is none. Typical, but far from surprising.

Really? That's what he did. Maybe you want to go back and look into the situation. Gonzalez hired people with positive job reviews because they weren't touting the party line. These were prosecutors by the way. Not judges.
