Jindal was the Republican winner last night. I read (http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977498287) that he already has a trip planned to Iowa.

McCain mentioned in his concession speech that Palin will be a leader in the Republican party in the future.

And then there's always Romney, who's probably done more interviews since the Republican convention than McCain and Palin combined.

Jindal, Palin and Romney. Did I miss anybody?

I would love to see a Jindal/Romney ticket in 2012.

Dems booted out most of the Republican moderates, and barring anything unforeseen they're going to need a moderate to have a shot at 2012. I'm guessing more of a dark horse candidate for them in the next election.

It'll be interesting to see whom they groom in the next few years (probably within the next two honestly)

Aaron Schock (R-IL) just became the youngest member of congress. He may be on the right path to become a young star in the Republican party.

One of my bosses - and older, straight white guy - was talking about a Huckabee/Palin ticket in 2012. I managed - barely - not to show my horror or insult his intelligence.

I'd welcome it. Unless Obama cornholes this nation more than it already is ... A HuckaPalin ticket would be a free landslide.

It would also serve to put the final torpedo in her hull, killing any chance of her becoming another Liddy Dole.
