LOL I wanted McCain to win but more than anything I'm just happy to see the voter turnout. Even if my guy doesn't win the fact that this head to head caused that much excitement in system is a good thing.

I'm not a fan of a few of Obama's positions/ideals but I can say the same for McCain neither was the perfect canidate for me but McCain was more inline with what I wanted.

Time will tell, I just hope progress is made.

I'm going to have a party to celebrate the fact bush is out of office I think.. I could give a shit less at this point.. I think all I learned this year is what the libertarian party is... and why it will never make it into the 2 party race.

I bet this next four years takes 30 off his life... not only will he pick up the regular presidential scrutinization of every little move he makes..he'll get it 10 fold due to the fact he's the first 'black' president. I don't really care who won, I'd be way more interested in why everyone voted who they voted for... and really curious how much the color issue actually played this year...as opposed to issues. Not so much you guys on pc..but the masses of our population.

I think Obama is enough of a statesman that it may give a bit of repair to the American Presidency. After Clinton and Bush (and Carter, Nixon, Johnson and so on), the office could use a modicum of respect.

We all know the only reason why people voted for Obama was because he was black. It was either racist black people (nevermind that blacks always vote predominately democrat), or white people with some form of guilt for shit they didn't do.
