Obama 278
McCain 233
Generally, I just gave all the states where Obama isn't above McCain by at least 10% in preliminary polling to McCain and took out Pennsylvania for Obama.

Texas and Alaska will be the only states touching an ocean, or surrounding the gulf, to go for McCain. Nothing around the Great Lakes, and only 3 states, of the lower 48, that make contact with Canada.
He'll carry the landlocked southern states east of the Mississippi, and only one state (AR) that contacts the Mississippi, from there he'll carry everything else westward (not touching an ocean) with the exceptions of NV, CO and NM. And he'll get one electoral from ME.
Obama 421, McCain 117.

I think Obama will win either Florida or Ohio and that'll be it for McCain. No late night return watching this year.
Obama will win popular vote. McCain will squeak by an electoral college win. LA will burn.

My best guess is 292-245 Obama, but it may not be that close.

Don't really care who it is. Either one will fuck it up because they're still playing retarded partisan politics.
To expand on this.
It will be more of the same short term thinking that's plagued nearly every administration. They're more concerned about getting reelected instead of actually fixing anything so they'll trot out some glamorous "new" project make a lot of mouth noises and the American public will eat it up. Or at least those that voted for the retard.
The other side will raise a stink, bitch and moan about the guy in office and when they get a shot at the big seat they'll do the same bullshit.

This is all Thomas Jefferson's fault for starting the Democrat-Republican party. Bipartisan pandering bastard.

Now that Missouri has finally counted its votes, we can announce who is the smartest person in this forum on politics.
I've gone through all of the posted predictions and have found the two people who got the closest. Imagine my lack of surprise when I discovered that I was the winner with my amazingly close call. Goldenranger has the honor of being the runner up.
It's official. I am the most knowledgeable person here about politics. But I'm not going to make a big deal out of it. :)
With that triumph under my belt, I think I'll go on a well deserved vacation.

Who's "We"?
Clearly you haven't been following ClydeR very closely. Like I stated months ago, he/she's clearly a liberal who is trying to portray a right wing nut.
I'm far from a liberal.

I think it's Latrinsorm who I've often regarded as being conflicted, although I believe it to be him based not only on his views but more so his posting style.

ME TOO.
And the real winner is really 538.com in my case, heh, since it was their polling that I used.
So which poll was the most accurate this election?
Last election it was the TIPP poll.

I think fivethirtyeight.com was one of the most accurate, if you count all the polls taken during the primary battle between Obama and Clinton, because of it's style of combining other polls and adjusting the weighting and such.
I think Quinnipiac and Gallup both were pretty accurate as well.
