Drudge reports (http://www.drudge.com/news/114201/bill-oreilly-electoral-map) that there is a big difference between the electoral vote projections by foxnews.com (http://www.foxnews.com/oreilly/winning-the-electoral-college/) and by electoral-vote.com (http://www.electoral-vote.com/).
Foxnews.com predicts Obama will win 183 votes, and McCain will win 189 votes, with 166 being too close to call. Electoral-vote.com shows Obama with 364 votes, McCain with 157 and ties of 17 votes.
Foxnews shows as too close to call 8 states (representing 81 electoral votes) that electoral-vote says are strongly leaning Obama. Those 8 states are Oregon, New Mexico, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. Foxnews shows North Carolina and Indiana as McCain states, while electoral-vote.com shows them as a weak Obama states.
The obvious question is why electoral-vote.com is so biased in favor of Obama.

Or why Fox is in denial?

Well ... that anyone can look at Drudge or Fox as a legitimate polling source ... well it's just sad.
Also, Drudge is easily defeated by the links as well. Electoral-vote.com offers up some EC graphs ... these graphs show results that reflect things like toss-up states.

I'm thinking we'll see a strong turn-out of the 30+ crowd ... especially seniors ... and the 18-29 crowd will be too busy goofing off that day doing whatever spur-of-the-moment thing that does not involve standing in line for more than 5 minutes (and cop out to the excuse "oh well, Obama will probably win anyways, I don't need to vote").
This might be what results in McCain winning those swing states that are favoring Obama poll-wise.

i doubt it, man. i think this election will see a huge surge in the 20-something vote. then again, we say that every election, so...whatever. this will be my last election to contribute to that statistic, so i gotta make it count!

God you're a fucking moron Clyde. Do you know who owns Fox? Do you know anything about the man? Do you know anything about the volumes of work that has been done demonstrating Fox's political agenda and its bias? If Fox is your benchmark for "impartial"...well that goes a long way to explaining your warped perspective on the world.

Clyde is a satire of a right-wing Christian.
Don't take him seriously.

Ok, everyone that responded to this thread as thinking Clyde's question was serious needs to give themselves negative rep points. Sheesh.
Though I find it hilarious that Fox has Oregon as too close to call. This is the state where the incumbent Republican senator is running ads touting his work with Obama in order to not lose his election.

God you're a fucking moron Clyde. Do you know who owns Fox?
I sure do! It's owned by Fox Entertainment Group, which is owned by News Corporation, which is publicly traded on the NYSE. No person or institution owns more than 20% of News Corporation.
Do you know anything about the volumes of work that has been done demonstrating Fox's political agenda and its bias?
No, but I would like to read about it. I don't have time to read a whole volume, but a summary of the volumes would be nice, if you have a link.

He's this forum's poor excuse for Stephen Colbert.

This gave me a chuckle:
That people actually believe it .. sad. That Fox is going to pound it until it's "true" ... pathetic.

They're being entirely too generous with Palin.

Bowing to the liberal bias in the rest of the news industry, Fox changed their electoral map overnight. The new map has Obama with 286 electoral votes, McCain with 163, and 89 too close to call.
Electoral-vote.com also updated their map slightly, now showing Obama with 375, McCain with 157, and 6 tied.
