Sorry, no. The Dem talking points might saying capitalism is dead, and "yay socialism" but that is not the case.

Editorial from left-leaning WAPO.

We'll never know how this newly liberated financial sector might have performed on a playing field designed by Adam Smith. That's because government interventions of all kinds, from the defense budget to farm supports, shaped the business environment.

What we have, ladies and gentleman, is a failure of government intervention into markets.

How many Republicans voted for the stimulus package? Ben Bernanke (also a Republian) says 'we might need another one.'

Ben Bernanke is playing politics. IF you watch these grillings on the hill you'll see how he is always in a position of weakness. People from both sides of the aisle will say "I think we should do blah blah blah, what do you think Ben?" And he'll give a very wishy washy political response, he always does. For instance. "That could work and I can see how you might come to the conclusion that we need that. Again, I think the focus needs to be on xyz right now, but I do not make policy."

He is a bit of a pushover when giving testimony.

... but why you posted about the stimulus package I won't know- the editorial wasn't about that.

I think this and how they are using the bill to buy financial stakes into the banks is very troubling. Next will be car manufacturing, then airlines...
