That was brilliant and it was cool that she did so much stuff instead of just the usual quick cameo.

You know what I got a problem with? In 18 months I cannot think of a single joke that has been made on SNL at Obama's expense. They've made jokes about the media love affair with him, but those were at the media's expense, not his expense. No jokes actually about him.

Tell me there is no comedic material there? Dress up Hammond as Biden and have him cart around a stroller.

Is it because everyone is afraid if they make a joke about his lack of experience or being such a lightweight they'll be branded as racist?

She was on for what, 15 seconds? I will admit I FF with TiVo through the rest of it to see if she was on there more. Got nothing. While the 15 seconds WAS funny, I'm still dissapointed.

Well...yeah. Frankly, I'm surprised Jon Stewart even has the balls to joke about Obama's ears.

It was well over 5 minutes of screen time. The first sketch had her on for about 3 minutes and the 2nd was almost the same though it was Amy singing and just a lot of cutting back and forth between Palin and Pohler.

She actually had a lot of lines too, in both sketches.

I'm not at all a Palin supporter but I thought she did a damn good job of making fun of herself and actually had some real screen time instead of most people who just come out give one line and then leave.

Her "Caribou Barbie" line was excellent.

I'll have to go back and watch it then, I didn't see the second part.

Aw thanks, we just ran through the TiVo portion we recorded and found it.

It was funny, but it would have been 10x funnier if Palin did that rap. I'd have fucking peed myself seeing her do it. Is it just me or did she look intensely uncomfortable the entire time she was there?

Actually, this is true. There was a study recently where a group tallied the number of jokes about obama/biden and mccain/palin made on late night TV for a period of a few weeks, and the ratio was 7 to 1.

Call it liberal bias if you want. But I think a lot of this is just because McCain/Palin is just a bit riper for satire. If comics found humor in Obama/Biden, i have no doubts they'd be making jokes about them too.

Oh, and if you read the press release, Obama jokes are more prevalent on comedy central's fake news programs than mccain jokes.

I wasn't that impressed. The best part was the eskimo suits.

I'd rather re-invite Ahmadinejad. He'd definitely be funnier as a guest appearance.

"And I ran....I ran so far from you..."

I thought she did literally nothing. All she did was play the foil to SNL and Alec Baldwin making jokes about her. I thought it was apropos when she came out for the fake news conference, and was like, I'm not going to actually do ANYTHING here but say "LIVE FROM NY IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT."

I had thought Sarah Palin would had done *a lot more* than she did.

I was rather disappointed.

She seemed perfectly relaxed to me.

I don't like Palin, but I thought she did well on SNL. I'm not sure why she couldn't act like that during her interviews. If she had, I might not have this nagging suspicion that she's as intelligent as a wheel of cheddar.

Because SNL is scripted and she didn't get the questions beforehand (nor the ability to practice her answers) for the interviews?
