Moist Happenings

This is my first political thread in years, so I figured I'd go against the grain of the current trend and open a topic for discussion that doesn't revolve around a specific issue or event.
The question I pose to you is this: Is it possible in this day and age in America for a politician to rise high enough to make a presidential bid without getting dirt on their hands?
My own opinion is no. I believe every aspect of the system has some level of corruption in it ranging the whole spectrum of severity. Without pandering to someone unsavory or doing something that doesn't sit right in the bid for "truth, justice, and the American way", you will run into an impass long before you reach a level of government that will allow you to even be a consideration as a candidate.
