Frankly I consider most, if not all, politicians horrible. I liked Clinton during his first term. I also liked Reagan. Prior to that I honestly didn't care that much about politics.

History will tell us if Iraq was worth it, in 20 years it may seem like it was a genius stroke to go in, remove saddam, and stabilize the country. The current economic crisis has little to do with Bush's policies, even leaning SNL admits he warned of this 6 years ago, and prior to this we had a time of unprecedented growth. Then, since 911, he's kept us safe with no attacks on US soil.

The fact is, half the country has been hating Bush since 2000 before he ever sat in the oval office. That kind of polarization is not a reasonable lense through which to judge who was good for the country and who was bad.
