McCain is not Bush. This came as a surprise to me. I'd been assuming, in my ill-read, uneducated way, that McCain had been complicit in most of the great travesties of the Bush administration and the execrable Republican Senate. I've learned that's largely untrue.

The Atlantic (formerly known as The Atlantic Monthly) is an American magazine founded in Boston in 1857. Originally created as a literary and cultural commentary magazine, its current format is of a general editorial magazine. Written from a center-right perspective with content focusing on "foreign affairs, politics, and the economy [as well as] cultural trends", it is primarily aimed at a target audience of "thought leaders".

I'm pretty positive most people that read this magazine are more than fairly conservative. Writing for Slate does not make anyone liberal. When a guy writes an article trying to convince people that Obama is more like Bush than McCain is, all his credibility just flew out the window.
Right... because no reasonable person would question The One.
