McCain had a great line the other day:

Today we know Senator Obama was wrong. The surge has succeeded. And because of its success, the next President will inherit a situation in Iraq in which America's enemies are on the run, and our soldiers are beginning to come home. Senator Obama is departing soon on a trip abroad that will include a fact-finding mission to Iraq and Afghanistan. And I note that he is speaking today about his plans for Iraq and Afghanistan before he has even left, before he has talked to General Petraeus, before he has seen the progress in Iraq, and before he has set foot in Afghanistan for the first time. In my experience, fact-finding missions usually work best the other way around: first you assess the facts on the ground, then you present a new strategy.

Even if you don't like McCain, even if you have a crush on Obama, it is hard to fault this logic. The fact is Obama set his foreign policy before going on his fact-finding mission. That kinda makes me think he doesn't really care what he sees overthere, his mind is already made.

This would be a perfect campaign commercial.

"Barack Obama gives a speech on foreign policy in regards to Iraq and Afganistan, outlining his agenda, before even speaking to General David Petraeus. The next week, he goes on a supposed fact finding mission, visiting Iraq for the first time ever. "

"Call Senator Obama and ask him, how he could come to the conclusions in his speech before finding out the facts on the ground? Ask him if the facts on the ground matter to him."

Obama is psychic. Obviously, McCain is not. Who would you vote for?
