I was forwarded this in an e-mail this morning. I don't know if it's been posted before but I figured it would spark some interesting debate.
Link here. (http://www.eyeblast.tv/Public/Video.aspx?rsrcID=2036)
Pretty much covers A to Z of what Obama must overcome.
Saw a few things in there I didnt know as well.

Yeah, I've seen most of it gone over here but there were a few things I didn't know.
So a question.
Was the clip of him not having his hand over his heart really before they started playing (and they dubbed in the national anthem) or was it actually him not having his hand over his heart while they were playing/singing the national anthem?

I can't see the clip at work, but I thought it was the part of singing the national anthem that he didn't have his hand over his heart for.
I think the only thing you should truly put your hand over your heart for is the pledge of allegiance.
I'm the product of team sports, we always placed a hand on our heart for the national anthem.
Baseball - hat over heart.
Football - helmet over heart.
Basketball - hand over heart.

Did you have a hat on? You're always supposed to remove your hat. It's become customary, therefore, to put the hat over your heart.

No, but you may have already learned much of it from my posts. Facts are facts, and many citizens do not stand in awe of an inexperienced man with shady associations just because he can read a speech.

I don't think for the most part that people are debating that the statements are based on factual content.. people are debating the application of those facts without context. I havn't gotten very far into the video but even the beginning is ridiculous. FACT: Obama's father is a Muslim ... who separated from his mother when Obama was 2 years old. FACT: Obama went to a muslim school when he lived in Jakarta .. well thats not really a fact but still: http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/22/obama.madrassa/ etc.

The two things you mentioned, plus the harping on his name and using Ann Coulter of all people to make the point turned me off almost immediately. It still had some interesting points though.

I'm sure it does and eventually I'll force my way through it. I just get miffed at cherry picking when it comes to presenting information as "fact".

I believe it was dubbed in, but even so I saw a clip showing tons of people during a ball game, standing with their hands folded in front of them and at attention to the flag. This is the way a lot of military people "salute the flag" during the National Anthem, and it's not uncommon for every day Americans to do it too. Which means either way, Obama hardly did any wrong or something unpatriotic.

Pretty easy to see what is going on.

"How can we justifiably elect a man with not 1, not 2, but THREE Islamic names!?!"
I'm ashamed to be a citizen of this fine country after watching that trash. Let the willfully ignorant continue to learn "facts". I'm literally sick to my stomach. Cherry-pick, twist, dissiminate.

For the millionth fucking time, you don't have to have your hand over your heart for the national anthem, only for the pledge of allegiance. He did nothing wrong.

My father, a veteran of 25 years in the US Navy, doesn't cover his heart during the National Anthem.

I swear: I honestly thought this was a mockumentary that was supposed to be making fun of rampant slander campaigns.
Well. It was low-budget at least. I liked the Internet fact whatsit. That shit is hard to beat.
As far as actual fact goes, the only thing factual about this video that I can decipher is that Ann Coulter was used to propagate an agenda, which, in layman's terms, usually means it's a steamy hot pile of bowel excretions (in accordance with why it seriously looks like a spoof of viral slander agendas, amirite?)

For the millionth and one fucking time, he's applying to be the leader of the country. That's like saying you don't have to wear a suit during your job interview for a management position. Well no shit you don't HAVE to.. but it hurts your chances to get that job because you may piss off the person responsible in hiring you.
I understand YOU are not bothered by it... but can you see how some people COULD be bothered by it? I know that my father, who is a diehard Democrat, will end up voting for Obama (even though he was a Clinton supporter) and HE had a problem with it. He would always make sure I had my hand on my chest during the National Anthem.
I don't think this should be a reason to not vote for Obama.. but it's just another red flag that goes up to some people.

(a) Designation.— The composition consisting of the words and music known as the Star-Spangled Banner is the national anthem.
(b) Conduct During Playing.— During a rendition of the national anthem—
(1) when the flag is displayed—
(A) all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart;
(B) men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold the headdress at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and
(C) individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem and maintain that position until the last note; and
(2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed.

The Flag Code also places significant restrictions on the wearing of flag lapel pins. Does anyone care about them anymore? No.

So what's the punishment for not following these "codes"? The answer is nothing because they are not actual enforcible laws, but rather recommended rules of conduct. Do you seriously believe that it should be against the law to not salute the flag?

Just like the red flag that Obama has not one, not two, but three Muslim-sounding names? There's a term for people that think like this. It's called mentally handicapped.

Losing votes. Not my vote, but votes. Hence why I wonder why he would put himself in this position.

I don't think he's as obsessed with image as some other candidates. I don't think McCain is either for that matter. Romney and Clinton were both obsessed with it and they both lost. Kind of interesting.
