I mean, it's the New Year people! Lots of life-changes being made, though there are certainly more resolutions broken than followed through with. But only time can tell, so why not give it some time, make your own resolution not to look so damn petty on these boards, and we'll all turn out for the better in this upcoming year.

To resumize all this. There was 3-4 threads made about her. Around 30 different people came and said their stories about her..

But you, NOW, you know how to handle this and you know what's good for her, for Cat, for me and for everyone "against" her

I wasn’t going to come back here and post because if there's a "winner" in this situation, it's Sarah. All her lies, her deceit, has gotten her the support of someone I care very much about and it’s greatly damaged our relationship beyond repair and I’m seriously to the point of just not wanting to deal with anything having to do with Gemstone anymore.

I made my case against her, as many other people have, and you’ve all seen her for what she is and there’s nothing I can contribute to this thread that I haven’t already said somewhere else.

I refuse to comment on Fizzan. He has a good head on his shoulders and I would like to trust that he knows what he’s doing, I just can’t trust his judgement in this as much as I trust it any other time. I do feel he’s been lied to yet again by her and I can’t imagine what it was that has swayed his judgement. If it were anyone else I would easily say Sex, or something of the like, but I can’t say that with Fizzan because I don’t think he’s that petty

Yes, Fizzan knows me pretty damned well. I’ve confided in him things that I wouldn’t ever think about telling anyone else. You could say I’ve always considered him one of my characters best friends, and I would have done almost anything for him.

X, It’s me asking this time, me that dislikes Sarah I think now, more than ever. Let it go. If I of all people can be a big enough person to ask this of you, then you should honor my request and just let it die. Will I forgive her? No. But I think this just needs to end.

If she acted this way to 1 person, then she is entitled to have that benefit of the doubt. Having done it once AT LEAST deserves understanding, patience and tolerance. But to have done it to so many people? Judging from people's reaction by the mention of Teeoncy and her player, SHE must have done something extreme for them to dislike her so.. I'm sure they have good reasons for that..

You, evidently are more understanding, but some people do not tolerate this level of maturity... especially if that person is NOT the least bit regretful of her actions.. here is the skinny of it with me, she came here and posted a pic that she said was like a year old or something, I called her on that since I had had the picture sent to me about 2 years agao, she was busted from day one, and i smelled it. I played a little game with her to find out exactly how old she was when the pic was taken, how old she is now, and called her on the lie. I asked one thing as proof. I wanted a picture of her holding a sign that said "THE EDINE" on it... I never got the sign hence my beef.

Cliff Notes--

Fizzan's the only one to do anything even remoltely useful in getting revenge on Teeoncy, and I got revenge at the same time on her player. Everyone else has to come here and obsess over griping.

I got away with an official Warning. Teeoncy's player and myself resolved things OOC, and made it known to the GM's that we could interact again.

People started insisting that I was another one of her boy-toys, so I promised I'd laugh in their faces, and have been.

Other people are emotionally effected by this ridiculous situation, and have mindless rags on their side, spitting out inconsistent, illogical, and straight-up assenine insults that have more grounds being aimed at the one their defending than the one their attacking. Then they punk out, close up, and leave. ((I re-iterate-- good.))

The damn thread was supposed to end three pages ago, but hasn't. People who claim to be letting it die, can't.

Petty hate for Teeoncy's player supercedes friendship and self-respect. Flames and snipes continue to run rampant. I gladly step in front of them and let them evaporate into a poorly-spun tapestry of lies and idiocy.

Sarah made herself a target, no one else. She caused these problems on herself. Just because she chooses not to post anymore doesn't make the reasons people don't like her any less valid. No one is just going to suddenly stop having issues with her just because she can't handle the situation anymore.

The problems with this character/player go quite a ways back at this point. She caused a lot of animosity among the posters and moderators, and I'm not tolerant of people who behave like that. She is no longer innocent and until she comes back and apologizes to staff and posters for her behavior, of blatently LYING to me to get her way, I won't care what people say about her because she brought it on herself.

I'm directly affected by Sarah's actions. She also came to these boards and lied about several situations. No one has to be "directly" affected by her to know that she lies and is untrustworthy, they just have to witness it.

Bad actions are bad actions, regardless of who they are targetted to. A liar is a liar. Bin Laden is a bad person, I don't need him to personally hurt me to know that little tidbit.

But I've yet to see someone post what happened, and let others decide for themselves. "She's a crazy bitch", "She's a whore", "She's a manipulative <expeltivedeleted>", etc etc are the common place things.

And when those ridiculous insults are thrown around, along with the notion that the poster is a bigger, better person, I just can't sit back and let something so blatantly erroneous remain un-checked.

Chad just pointed me to a thread called "Here!", which I will not go and read because my interest in this board lies within the thread with my character's name on it. However, I have come to understand that of the fifty some-odd pages, ripe with flames and gripes, only 3 posters or so truly had a right to be a upset.

The *instant* I realized I had no real reason to hate on Sarah as a person, I stopped, and look what happened-- things are fixed, at least between us. Maimara's is, IMHO, not because she's siding with Cat, but because she was hating on Cat in the same manner not a month before.

I gripe on characters and players, but not publically so, to gain supporters and fellow-gripers. I just deal with it IC, or totally ignore the person.

Evidence of this? Of my 50 posts on these boards, you might find *one* not in this thread, and I'll give you three guesses as to who's name was on that thread, with the hint that it directly related to this particular situation.

And when this thread is over, so long as I'm not included in any further threads, my presence will be withdrawn. Simple.

So yeah, if you want to keep hating on Sarah publically without having to deal with trying to convince me that you're justified... start a new thread!

If I took away all the threads that I felt were petty, these boards would be really boring to read. But people have their reasons for getting upset and ranting.

Most threads in the official boards are petty because it's usually the same people bickering over the same situations that didn't go their way, or someone glanced at them sideways and should know better. It's human nature to rant and vent about things that they don't like. If someone likes something, they'll tell one person. If they hate something, they'll tell five.

I think it's great that you worked out your issues with her, and are willing to forgive and forget. It all boils down to this. I have more than a couple of friends who aren't well liked. They've done less than admirable things, things I don't agree with at all. However they are my friends, and it means something to me. I've actually posted the issue with Teeoncy/Kataleena THREE times now, and each time it was ignored by Sarah, when she could have issued a response, and the last two times I posted it was in direct response to her comment that Teeoncy hasn't pissed off anyone in the last six months. I won't bother posting it a fourth time, because it'll only get ignored again. She won't admit she did it.

And Teeoncy, if you either decided to flirt-mess with my boyfriend/lover/husband in the game, I hope you can handle the response to it, which will totally be IC and certainly not WARN worthy.

Reading back 5 pages, I have this to offer to Sarah:

1. If you really wish to rebuild your character and put an end to this thread, then admit to the specific things you lied about to us and apologize for doing so. If done sincerely and without an attitude, perhaps people will let this die. To lie just to entertain yourself borders on the psychopathic.

2. Then do as HarmNone suggested and be quiet for a spell, less haughty when you do post, don't tell anymore lies, and go work on what you wish to change.

3. Wait until change happens, then demonstrate it in small ways. Don't promise, don't boast, don't dismiss.

My first lover was a liar and finally couldn't keep track of all the lies told. I was too weak to walk away, but finally someone else sat me down and told me that it was all just a game and my head was getting played with (sorry Chadj, if I'd recalled this sooner, I could have warned you). My friend also suggested that I stop playing the games too, stop participating and getting sucked up into them. A difficult task, but with each attempt it got easier and easier. And voila, I was able to see things for what they were... and got the hell out while I still had some sense of self.

Today, the longest relationship my ex-lover has been in was two years, and they were abusive, probably enabled by the compulsive lying. My relationships have lasted significantly longer and have open, honest communication.
