Seeing her on the Today show and watching the interview of the tour of her house, reminded me what a scumbag Gore is... and how the stupid people of the world believe Gore is going green for anything but making boatloads of money.

Thats a cool fucking house.
Now combine that with natural lighting, LCD lighting, or fiber optic lighting and the house would be awesome. Add a wind turbine to that for powering the rest of the hardware that does not run off of light, and you're about as green as you can get.
Way cool.

Yep. America became his house when he became President though. It's the environmental equivalent of "Yes I have black friends!"

wtf are you talking about? it's a simple comparison between two domiciles and the perceived views of two men.
Because practicing what you preach carries no weight in today's politics. And its still the IN thing to be a Bush basher.

Warriorbird doesn't like Bush.. I'm surprised you didn't get the memo.

Because to those of us who don't blindly toe the Republican line... both men are hypocrites... Gore for being a profiteer/plutocrat while claiming to save the world... Bush for a callous disregard for environmental policy as President and then having a wanktastically green house for the talking point value.

no, i've noticed this point many times. And that's fine, but he just happens to sound like an idiot here.

I don't find his home consistent with his Presidential policies.

Yes, because he talks about it so much...

It's sure been spread by a lot of Republicans who want to bash Gore. Being Republicans, of course, they don't want to look at the opposite side.

so many...
it's just a proven fact. the opposite side IS pointed out in Bush's ranch.
I think you just don't like the fact that Bush is being environmentally responsible with his personal residence because that somehow negates your ability to blindly bash him.
Oh wait, no, it doesn't. Carry on.

 You are funny.. in a transparent kind of way.
Gore, who has overcome an embarrassing loss for the Presidency, has revamped himself as the "Green Guy".. the champion of the environment.. a Nobel Peace Prize winning tree hugger. Yet, I don't hear any criticism from you over the lifestyle he leads. Instead, you point to Bush who DOES have an environmentally friendly house, and you criticism him for doing it.
Difference is: Gore has based his life upon the Environment.. Bush hasn't.
Gore is making a fucking KILLING over this environmental 'crisis'. Gore is a fucking hypocrite to the 10th power... something most of you liberals can relate to obviously.
It's sure been spread by a lot of Republicans who want to bash Gore. Being Republicans, of course, they don't want to look at the opposite side.
So by the actions of others he's guilty (by proxy)?
How pastor wright'ish of you to say so.

It doesn't restrict me from saying that Bush's environmental policies are and have been horrific... so it's sort of hilarious that he personally has a very environmentally friendly home.
I just see this from Republicans who're jealous of Gore making money... which is very un-Republican, really.

Why would the Republicans be jealous? They're the ones selling the green technology to all the tree huggers to begin with?
They're laughing all the way to the bank. Gore is just getting a piece of the action along with them.

Not me man.. I've banked on people like you to buy into this latest environmental 'crisis'. I just find it amuzing that you don't care that Gore leads a non-environmentally friendly life.. and to counter act it, he buys carbon offsets in a company he owns.

I'm somewhere in between people who are actively about fucking the Earth and people who are actively about saving it.
I make money from carbon offsets myself.
I find the Gore obsession/hate funny. He's just being a Republican.

Lots of people have put profits above deep environmental impact. You can look at Superfund cleanup sites for your area with a few seconds on the web.
Union Carbide would've been my first response given certain events in the area where I grew up. The people who want to do short term uranium mining in that same area would be high on the list.
I find the Gore obsession/hate funny. He's just being a Republican.
Yes, because we all know Democrats never lie, cheat, or steal.

Republicans never have extramarital affairs or suddenly get outed!
Gore's profiting off people's hysteria. Bush used it to get a second term. Gore isn't quite that savvy but Republicans whining about him is hilarious. It isn't particularly admirable but it is quite American.
...Republicans whining about him is hilarious.
And so is the defending he gets by the Democrats.

To me, there is a pretty big difference between actively fucking up the earth and someone putting profits before deep environmental impact. One is the main goal.. to actively fuck up the Earth. The other is a consequence of not putting environmental issues as a higher priority.
I don't know anyone who is 'actively about fucking the earth'.

Bush - he hates the Earth (and Black people).

Right. Because anybody who suggest that people might actually do bad things to the environment is totally watching too much Captain Planet.
