There were until this soap opera started.
I guess he'd rather just insult everyone he can because he's trying to draw attention away from himself.
Stay/Devo now have 'their' own thread. Please take the useless crap there.

Heh. Having put my curiosity in my back pocket, I have an opinion on Saddam!
He is caught. Yep. Now, we will have to wait to see what will be done with him. Yep.
HarmNone voices an opinion :D

From the BBC:
The United States will work with the people of Iraq to ensure the trial of Saddam Hussein stands international scrutiny, President George W Bush says.
The deposed Iraqi leader will get the justice he denied to millions, Mr Bush told a news conference in Washington.
Mr Bush said it was for Iraqis to decide whether Saddam Hussein should face the death penalty.
The ex-leader has reportedly given no direct intelligence to interrogators since being captured at the weekend.
But US military officials say two key figures have been arrested on the basis of information "gleaned" from Saddam Hussein's capture.
"The Iraqis need to be involved," Mr Bush said when asked what will now happen to Saddam Hussein.
"There needs to be a public trial and I'm confident it will be done in a fair way."
Mr Bush did not say whether Saddam Hussein should eventually face execution.

I say we tie him up in one of his own cities and let the folks of Iraq stone him to death....with little gravel pellets, so it takes a long time, is humiliating, and downright evil.
Love you Jolena!

I went out to the bar last night and celebrated the capture of that jackass by drinking a few beers. :D
The only thing I have to say after that is... About fuckin' time! GO USA!!!

Oooh! Muscle head! I hope that means me! Because apparently obese American waste of life didn't.
Yep. After reading the first few posts by Devo, and comparing IPs, I jumped to the conclusion that it was in fact you. But you can't honestly say you wouldn't have gone to that conclusion yourself. He has the same posting style as you, that oh-so-witty British humor that leaves us craving more. Not to mention the brilliant strategy of boosting your arguments through insults about physical appearances or making inferences on people you know absolutely anything about. But I digress.
I did switch to the opinion that perhaps you were roommates or something, which would have been possible with the IP router. But, Devo made the claim that he didn't know you at all. So, I jumped ship again, deciding that either (1) Devo was you, and for some reason you intended to keep with what would have been stupid bullshit (2) Devo was lying about knowing a British person who obviously lived a mere several feet (or is it metres) away from him. Naturally, I assumed the former, because what kind of person would lie about knowing someone else? I'm still baffled by that one.
Lastly, I wanted to thank you for tailoring your responses to each member, rather than a sweeping generalization made about another culture. It's progress.
Best regards,

I haven't read much of this thread. But I think it's shitty of the Australian government -- who is against capital punishment -- to agree with killing Saddam. If you believe in something, stick with it. You bunch of Aussie pussies.

Ah, ThisOtherKingdom, you have found out something nifty about human beings. That is that people will preach morality 'till their heart's content and pass judgement on other people/countries/governments that do things they deem wrong.
However, when the stakes are high enough and the harm is great enough, they throw all their philosophies and high moral ground right out the window... and give into a base instict to KILL THE BASTARD.
-K, who thinks the bastard should be killed.

I admit that I do know Stray, but I can assure you that we are not the same person. I am one of his Uni friends and we live in the same house, hence the similar IP addresses. I can also promise everyone that my real name is Devo and that I have never played Gemstone, but have watched Stray playing it many times
You live in the same house?
It's one of those dirty-ass hippy communes, isn't it? Where it smells like old mattresses, and there's a bunch of skinny vegans with long hair, right?
You often talk about the way things should be. And you have a bunch of people surrounding you who all think the same things , so you begin to believe that you're intelligent. This is confounded by the fact that none of you have a decent job, so you have no means to leave your shitty hippy compound, and can only pass the time by reading old books from the library and telling eachother how smart you are.
So, Strayrogue has found the internet. He can now rant in short fragments with impunity. Where most people would pummel his scrawny ignorant ass to the floor while he screamed "Damn the man!" with all the angst and conviction of a middle schooler given a detention, he is safe on an electronic message board.
I take great comfort knowing in the end of the day, for all your anti-American diatribes, you largely depend on the government aid and a dumpster to sustain yourself. That, and you would probably be refused service in most restaurants I frequent based on your appearance alone.
And that's not even the saddest part.
There are lots of people here who have similiar views on certain issues, but they are so embarrassed by how you go about displaying them that they wouldn't even dare post them. The don't want to be seen in the same dirty light that you bring to everythread you post in, even if it's just a smily face. It usually isn't much more, is it? That, or a "I'd so do you"...
Machine-gun post away. I know I've stopped reading. I know many others have as well.
And to stay on topic, I was very happy they found Saddam. I really don't care what his fate is at this point, but I'm just happy they found him. This will help the Iraqi people know that he's not coming back.

:::grabs the top of Longshot's ear, twists it and pulls him over to the other thread...lets go and runs like hell before he beats her senseless:::
ABOUT SADDAM...
Anyone else think Saddam is not only a scumbag but a little b**** for hiding in that hole and then SURRENDERING peacefully to the Coalition forces when they caught him?
His CHILDREN, his two SONS..died fighting..for what they believed in. Not that what they were fighting for was right, don't get me wrong...by no means was it..they're just as sick as their father, bin Laden, and every other terrorist organization on the face of the Earth. HOWEVER..they were man enough to fight and die for what they believe in. And he said he was proud of them, they were martyrs and died a warrior's death. He praised their courage. And what did he do? He gave up. I was certain that when they found Saddam, he'd go out like his kids...He had a pistol on him...if he was any type of a man, he would have put it in his mouth and pulled the trigger. Just something else that makes him slime.
