Former presidential candidate and billionaire Ross Perot has harsh words for John McCain (http://www.newsweek.com/id/94827/page/1). Perot says McCain left his first wife because she had a limp from a car accident and married a wealthy poster girl. He also says McCain covered up evidence of live POWs in Vietnam. And he says McCain is a "classic opportunist" who is "always reaching for attention and glory."

Perot plans to launch a website to make his views known ahead of the election.

Given his "hero" image as a POW, those are pretty amazing accusations. I'm interested to see how it develops.

"He attributes the success of China to the fact that even uneducated Chinese must learn 3,000 characters early in life, compared to the 26 letters in the English alphabet. "Their hand-eye productivity is incredible because of drawing the symbols," Perot says."

I agree there is a lot more to China's success, but it can't hurt brain development to start with 3000 characters.

You've got to stop spending so much time in France, man.

Pick your opponent's greatest strength and attack there. In a military conflict, that would be dumb, but it works in politics.

Ross Perot is even more of a moron than Bush.

Good god, why is what he thinks relevant again?

I'd take his thoughts on the same level as Oprah, Barbra Streisand, Chuck Norris and other celebs that think they are important somehow to the political process.

As my Gifts, Wills, and Trusts prof used as a "defense" to lack of testamentary capacity in some case name I've forgotten, "If he's so crazy, why's he so rich?"

Except Perot was born into poverty, Hughes was born into and inherited wealth.

Though you really can't impugn the intelligence of either ... both certainly were crazy, one was batshit crazy.
