Please, STFU.

Matt Ryan hangover?

Everyone here is an independant. No one has any pre-defined politic beliefs. We all just make informed decisions based on what future policies would be best for the continued success of American civilization.

Hope that helps!

Matty Ice = still the best NFL-style QB available in the draft next year.

As for being a pure liberal - what I said lines more with what something PB would say - are you calling PB a Pure Liberal?

I believe I quoted you...unless you are PB in disguise....

WHICH YOU PROBABLY ARE.

And like a liberal you took it out of context...good job.

Only a Pure Liberal like YOURSELF would believe in a conspiracy theory like conservatives disguised as me.

I'm the direct opposite of TheE.

I'm conservative and I like women.

I am a registered Independent with severe Libertarian tendencies, so I suppose I am very liberal, with the added exception of lumping 99% of self-professed liberal politicians into the same category as 99% of their Capitol Hill/White House/Supreme Court doppelgangers.

The meta-humor needs to stop. Its just retarded (backlashian).

That being said, I'm fiscally conservative, socially moderately liberal. If the religious right didnt dominate the conservative social agenda I'd be ok with it. Alas...

I'm fiscally very liberal, and in terms of most social issues, fairly liberal, though I am uncomfortable with people who would like to use abortion as retroactive birth control.

You might be onto something. This is his first post/thread in the politics folder...

All previous posts lend an expertise in warrior/warrior type Gemstone experience (which Backlash plays...).

Considering that I source 99% of my arguments that I post here, its definately not my style.

These choices kind of suck. I go with pure liberal, but I lean conservative on torte reform, death penalty, and gun control.

There is no other source, that is the end all be all authority on everything I've posted.

That is THE source.

We’ve discussed before that left/right or liberal/conservative aren't very descriptive labels in modern politics.

The political compass offers a two dimensional scale that can be more illuminating as to the political leanings of an individual.

http://www.politicalcompass.org/test (http://console.mxlogic.com/redir/?2CMyYUespdFTpuKqerFCM0iRjVjBrjRRJFjw0ej-APt-Lt5cQszHzC63tPpDjVAVkFEa9RC9YKrshu76QkjhOMCPtZNwTs SrDUvf5zZB0SyrjdFK8FFTo76TtWV6e9t)

I also think that the lesson of my voting life (1975 onward) is that divided government is good government and either party left in power to long governs badly. I believe that this applies to Federal, State, and local governments.

This poll annoys me. liberal =! permissive and conservative =! restrictive.

Just say economically permissive/restrictive or socially permissive/restrictive.
Fiscal liberal means economically restrictive. Fiscal conservative means economically permissive. It's a roundabout way of saying things, since 'liberal' means different things for each side of the equasion

And yet it has 8 votes... less if you detract all of Backlash's clone accounts that are probably in the poll... (that would make it like 1?)

I would venture to say most people in this country are fiscally more conservative and socially more moderate to liberal. I don?t think there are any pure liberals fiscally, because those are the socialist types who can fairly easily move to Canada, Europe, or many other places where they would closer in line with their beliefs.

I?d be more afraid of the person who was fiscally liberal and socially conservative, because that makes little to no sense to me. Socialism with State regulations and controls on issues. Sounds like shades of the old Soviet Union to me.

I can?t ever agree with a liberal fiscal system, but the definitions of the system can change. Right now, the system is far too liberal in terms of pure taxation and spending, but the spending seems to be on random stupid shit, like pointless committees, wars of aggression, and faith based BS.

IMHO, the government has the responsibility to spend money for a system for people to get an education, get medical coverage, retirement assistance, military protection, and to have an infrastructure (roads, power, communications). After that, people should be on their own. Problem is, I think about 75% of the spending government is doing is on absolutely useless bullshit, like museums, national parks, open space, salaries for all kinds of non-operations people (white collar government workers and contractors).

The Republicans support HMO?s who I think need to rot in hell, because getting medical attention, like an education, should be a person?s right, and not controlled by dollars. The HMO?s are notorious for making coverage more difficult to get, making it more expensive, and keeping 25 cents on the dollar for their ?troubles?.

The Democrats support useless unions who keep American manufacturing in craptastic state, and then complain about jobs being shipped overseas. Both sides are controlled by dollars from Lobbyists who are protecting the interests of a few select groups, leaving the general good behind.

Here?s one. Of the following people, which cannot be given a raise, or generally fired for good/poor performance?

1) Honda worker
2) GM worker
3) Public School Teacher
4) Private/Catholic School Teacher
5) Federal Highway Construction Worker
6) Guy that paves your Driveway

Now, since these are all obvious, but people with the exact same job skills in a perfect world, which of them usually does a better job?

We need a person who can run the thing like a business, hold people/groups accountable for waste, and who isn?t controlled by the some right wing evangelical idiot who thinks God put us here to spend money on faith based shit.
