Matthews says Bush administration has "finally been caught in their criminality" (http://www.examiner.com/blogs/Yeas_and_Nays/2007/10/4/Matthews-Bush-Admin-puts-pressure-on-my-bosses)

....The Clinton camp, he said, never put pressure on his bosses to silence him.

“Not so this crowd,” he added, explaining that Bush White House officials -- especially those from Vice President Cheney's office -- called MSNBC brass to complain about the content of his show and attempted to influence its editorial content. "They will not silence me!" Matthews declared.

"They've finally been caught in their criminality," Matthews continued, although he did not specify the exact criminal behavior to which he referred. He then drew an obvious Bush-Nixon parallel by saying, “Spiro Agnew was not an American hero."

Matthews left the throng of Washington A-listers with a parting shot at Cheney: “God help us if we had Cheney during the Cuban missile crisis. We’d all be under a parking lot.”

Following his remarks, a few network insiders and party goers wondered what kind of effect Matthews' sharp criticism of the White House would have on Tuesday's Republican debate in Dearborn, Michigan, which Matthews co-moderates alongside CNBC's Maria Bartiromo...

I watch the Mathews shows and he's no liberal. Judging from what he says on the show, he apparently idolizes Reagan, Giuliani, and McCain. My instince it to say he shouldn't go so far, but these guys apparently depend on journalistic integrity to keep some of their slimy behavior under wraps. Maybe he's just sick of it.

On one hand we have Mathew's claims to have voted for GW Bush in 2000. On the other ...

"Matthews has worked for four Democratic politicians. He was a presidential speechwriter for four years during the Carter administration. He served as a top aide to long-time Speaker of the House of Representatives Tip O'Neill for six years. He worked in the U.S. Senate for five years on the staffs of Senators Frank Moss and Edmund Muskie before himself campaigning for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, and losing his party's nomination to Pennsylvania Congressman Joshua Eilberg in the Democratic primary in 1974.

Matthews was raised in a conservative Irish Catholic household. As a young man he supported Barry Goldwater, but was inspired to become a Democrat by Eugene McCarthy's pro-civil rights and anti-Vietnam war platforms."

You're a moron if you believe he is anything close to being a Republican.

Oh wait.. we've already established you're a moron.

He's not a radical and definitely not a liberal, although his views are too nuanced to slap on a conservative label either. I don't know if anyone else watches his shows, but I watch a good bit and I remember him being genuinely excited about Bush in the beginning. To this day gushes over McCain and Rudy whenever he gets a chance. He’s moderate to conservative socially, and he definitely believes in conservative economic principles. On the Supreme Court conservatism scale, he’d fall somewhere to the right of Sandra Day O’Connor and to the left of Antonin Scalia.

I really think he's just genuinely sick of the tactics routinely employed by the current administration. Frankly, I don’t see how anyone can blame him.

I feel the same way about Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter.. so does that automatically make them non-conservative?

Chris Matthews has a long liberal history.. and for Backlash to say he's not a liberal anymore makes me laugh. What's next.. Keith Olbermann is now an unbiased journalist?

Thinking Chris Matthews has the same political views as Keith Olbermann is dumber than thinking I'm your old boyfriend. I wonder what he would think if he found out that after so much time, you're still so obsessed with him. It might be time to move on...

Yeah, Chris Matthews has espoused views on both sides of the aisles. He hates Hillary and loves Rudy, currently. What's your take on his liberalness in light of that?

I'm beginning to think you really aren't Backlash. He is as ignorant as you are.. but at the very least.. he was able to spell somewhat correctly. You are not only ignorant.. but downright dumb as a box of rocks. Have you had one posting of longer than a sentence that you have been able to spell every word yet?

And please.. save the "I don't check my spelling, so stuff it".. if you have to check "KEITH" then you really are a fucking retard. What next.. are you going to take the Xcalibur defense of "Englush are my 2st Langage."?

Thanks for being my online spell check. If you notice, most of these 'spelling errors' are typos with the characters reversed or replaced with others nearby on the keyboard. I wanted to really start going through and correcting every little error, but I just can't bring myself to give enough of a fuck. So please keep doing it for me. I see now that although you may not be much of a thinker, you work really hard and I appreciate it.

Internet Troll (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll)

A troll's main goal is usually to arouse anger and frustration among the message board's other participants, and will write whatever it takes to achieve this end. One popular trolling strategy is the practice of Winning by Losing. While the victim is trying to put forward solid and convincing facts to prove his position, the troll's only goal is to infuriate its prey. The troll takes (what it knows to be) a badly flawed, wholly illogical argument, and then vigorously defends it while mocking and insulting its prey. The troll looks like a complete fool, but this is all part of the plan. The victim becomes noticeably angry by trying to repeatedly explain the flaws of the troll's argument. Provoking this anger was the troll's one and only goal from the very beginning

Well Chris Matthews has stated that one of the main reasons he likes Rudy is the fact that in New York "subways didn't smell like pee anymore". That seems like a pretty liberal issue to me. But then again the smell of pee and curry would probably make TheE feel right at home.

Dude.. sorry to rain on your parade, but I only read your shit if I am completely bored with the topic. I know you hang on every one of my posts.. but sorry.. I like the ladies.

To answer your very stupid question... just because you are a liberal doesn't always mean you MUST vote for a Democrat. Giuliani is a very liberal Republican when it comes to social issues.. not that much of a stretch.

If there was a viable Democratic candidate that I felt wouldn't bankrupt this country by growing Government (socialized health care.. some fool plan to give every brand new kid $5,000, etc..) then I would probably vote for them. That doesn't make me a liberal though.

Dumbass.

when you are about to nut and a girl is riding you, then all of a sudden she gets up and your penis flings back at you at the exact moment you blow your load, resulting in a backlash of nut on you.

Can you link your sources on where you read that information? I'm finding it hard to believe Chris Matthews would call Rudy a liar if he supported him.

Matthews takes on everyone on Hardball, but Republicans who are used to watching Faux News take that as bias. The truth is, he just has a very combative style and when someone lies he calls them out. He also has a habit of taking it a bit far. Here are a few Hardball clips v Hillary..

"Will Bill Behave?" (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-402343481764491702&q=chris+matthews+hillary&total=65&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1)

"Clinton's "Fascistic" treatment of journalists" (docid=734946145731420361&q=chris+matthews+hillary&total=65&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=2)

Hillary "Pimping Lobbyists" (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1329709036124385371&q=chris+matthews+hillary&total=65&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=4)

Now here is just one example of how he almost ALWAYS talks about McCain and Giuliani. He has calmed down recently (especially on Rudy), but it used to constant. I was looking for a particular video love letter he wrote to McCain a while ago, but I couldn't find it.

McCain/Rudy Conversation (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1793710908587232364&q=chris+mathews+mccain&total=31&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1)

You are a joke. You bring up MSNBC and then make fun of Fox News. LOL.
