Kinda a low-key story in most respects, but it was on my radar because Chemerensky was one of the most beloved profs at USC until he left for Duke a couple years ago.

Synopsis: UC Irvine chartered a new law school and, by a miracle of God, hired one of the most renowned Constitutional law scholars of this generation as it's inaugural dean. A couple of days later, citing political pressure, the Chancellor of the University flew to Durham to fire Chemerensky.

Very interesting. I think Chemerinsky's political views make him a schmuck, but there's no denying that he's a BRILLIANT legal scholar. I have found his work in the Constitutional realm highly valuable through my law school tenure, and am sure his views will aid me for many years to come.

If I ever met Erwin Chemerinsky in person, I think I would shit my pants. He single handedly got me through Con Law.

And I think his politics are awesome, and that Khariz is a poopy face. ;)

They've apparently rehired the fellow.

Good. His politics shouldn't have mattered. He's a brilliant man.
