Tony Blair has finally announced he's quitting. We saw it coming like a tidal wave obviously, but he's made the official announcement today. In 6 weeks we'll have a new Prime Minister.

My favourite parts of his resignation speech:

I liked Blair as a leader. This is with the understanding that I'm not surrounded by the effects of his leadership since I dont live on that side of the pond. However, I feel he represented the UK admirably and with class in the international arena.

Seriously? It will depend on how Brown does over the next couple of years. I think it would be foolish for us to assume the Conservatives have no chance, because they do if Cameron can get his act together and come up with some firm policies.

I believe that Labour will win the next election, but it could be a close one. I mean, I always said Id never vote conservative, but it's likely that if Nurses get a better deal under them, I'd consider it.
