See the story here:

Watch the video for yourself and hear as he says "allowing top aides to testify, privately, under oath[...]"
Let's review...the President offered Harriet Miers and Karl Rove to speak to a congressional sub-committee NOT under oath, WITHOUT a transcript, BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, out of the view of the public.
Okay, Sean?
Those who have nothing to hide hide nothing.

This isn't a liberal issue ... it's a truth in the media issue.
Granted we're talking about FoxNews and it's pretty difficult to call them out and not be pegged as a liberal, but still.
When you're a multi-billion dollar network reporting the news, at least make an attempt to use some semblance of the truth ... even if the motives are political.
-Don't repeatedly represent Foley as a democrat.
-Don't repeatedly something is historical fact ... because when you're wrong, not retracting the statement and continually using the statement will not change history
-Don't suggest someone should take an offer that was never put on the table. Suggest they take the offer that is on the table.

I'm all about the truth in media. It's rough in our society but I can still hope.

If Bush had offered to let them testify in public under oath, there would be no issue. Duh.
He's an idiot anyway, Hannity. There is no doubt he would be utterly partisan.
The sad part is, people take word of people like him on Fox news and other news organizations as gospel. Scary.

Not a suprise.
1. Sensationalism sells.
2. News agencies like sensationalism.
3. News agencies have a natural bias to be sensational.
4. News pundits have a natural bias to be sensational.
Its no suprise that Hannity, or any other news broadcaster, has been caught in a fallacy... at least for those who's expectations of the broadcast media remain rooted with both feet on terra firma.

Indeed. It just sucks that so many people are willing to believe what the talking heads say on television, on any network for that matter, without doing their own homework.

93% of Fox News viewers voted for Bush. Higher than any other demographic.

Much like people like you take the regular liberal media as gospel.
More scary.

Since when can you answer questions from Congress... lie as you wish.. and it not be against the law?
Weird.

Apparently, lying to congress is the same thing as perjory; under oath or not. You don't have to be under oath when testifying to them, but if you do lie you can get slapped with 5 years for each offense. It's the same thing as if you were under oath in a courtroom. At least that's my understanding of it, but I'm no constitutional scholar so take it for what it's worth.

Yea, they'll lock you up and force you to watch C-SPAN/C-SPAN2 24 hours a day for 5 years. :spaz:

Holy shit, CSPAN...I'd gnaw my own heart out.
The only time I watch CSPAN is when I'm watching the State of the Union address.

Meges is correct...as long as there is a transcript. No transcript, no proof you lied.
That's how they got the No. 2 guy at Interior, Stephen Griles...he lied to Senate investigators during a corruption probe, and a transcript was taken. I don't believe he was under oath.
Even the Wall Street Journal said anyone that testifies should have a transcript taken of their testimony. Now that's saying something.

That may be true, but its the last resort of liars. If nothing is wrong, no reason not to testify under oath in front of your peers (the American people).
Hannity does more to divide us than unite us. Thus, I claim unpatriotic and an enemy of the Republic.

That'd make Hillary and Bush enemies of the Republic too. I don't think I'm going that far for some reason. Unlike many Republicans I can disagree with someone without thinking they're enemies of the State.
Tongue in cheek. Been watching Rome and playing Diplomacy the past two days.
