Well, in looking at the 'today's posts' page I noticed that there's not a single political thread in the immediate 25 posts available for viewing... SO I THOUGHT I WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT...

New Orleans Mayor C. Ray Nagin has suggested that the slow recovery and rebuilding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina -- which has prevented many black former residents from returning -- is part of a plan to change the racial makeup and political leadership of his and other cities.

"Ladies and gentlemen, what happened in New Orleans could happen anywhere," Nagin said at a dinner sponsored by the National Newspaper Publishers Association, a trade group for newspapers that target black readers. "They are studying this model of natural disasters, dispersing the community and changing the electoral process in that community."

I'd like to be the first Houstonian to offer Mr. Nagin the opportunity to come get his bus loads of criminals that were sent here after Katrina, and never left...

I'd also like to suggest to Mr. Nagin that perhaps people of NO finally realized what a cesspool it is and decided to make a change for the better while they had the chance. Not to mention the others that were displaced probably cant afford to move back, especially when there's nothing to move back to, so they are adapting and moving on as best they can.

And lastly, Mr. Nagin needs to get off the race card. It just makes him look even more idiotic than he already is.

The rest of them are here in Baton Rouge.

I can't believe he got re-elected.

The last time I checked ( late February ) the murder count was at 28. That's almost a killing every other day. Who wants to go back to that drama?
