To start off with, I suppose I AM an attention whore. Why the bloody hell would I be posting pictures if I didn't like getting comments on them? I think the difference between me and Jenisi is, is that if someone slams on her she (well, she used to) go apeshit and be very upset by the comments.

Me? Well, I'm used to getting horrible comments from all directions. I'm a photo major, I'm getting slammed all the time. Yeah I've got this big mole thing on the side of my nose. Infact, Peam used to give me a whole deal of shit about that "wart" on the side of my nose? Do I give a damn? Hell no.

I guess it boils down Jenisi getting really self-consious about what other people think about her (which she needs to get over because she really is a pretty girl) and me simply not giving a good god damn.

As I said to RangerD...I'd be more than happy to post a picture of myself with no-makup-just-woke-up-pissing-on-the-toilet shot if you want.

But as someone earlier stated before. I got my very first digital picture, I'm half tempted to take pictures of dryer lint and posting it just because its such a damned neat little camera.

The only picture I have ever posted on this thread is what Faiyth looks like. I got a digital camcorder for christmas though... maybe you'll start seeing home videos?....

I've never denied my defensive personality, I'll straight up admit it. It just gets frustrating when I'm an accused attention whore for posting pictures. If you actually knew me, you'd slap yourself for ever making a comment like that. I made a comment about it (not posting pictures because of jackass comments)because that's how I felt, and still do. I'm not insecure about my looks at all. I love pictures, I have thousands of them. I love scrap booking etc. I never once asked, "Am I pretty? Don't you think I'm hot?" Maybe which hair color looks better? Yeah, that's really going out of my way for attention. I just get confused when I go out, I work, I go to school, I have tons of friends, and I’m totally comfortable with myself and my body and people act like I’m out to seek compliments. I really like some of the people that post on the boards and are friends with quite a few of them, I thought sharing pictures of me and my life is just another way of expressing myself. I've never once shot a "reveling" photo nor do I plan on it.

Me too! :cry: Every day we stay here. This is a 70 style house, but a really ugly version at best. The only thing we are missing is the shag carpet, which again makes me want to cry.

To explain the Star Trek thing, My Aunt found out I was a mild Trekkie and freaked out cause I was the only one in the family she could talk to about it. She is an Extreme trekkie. So now every Christmas I get another item that is trekkified. I currently have 9 boxes full of Star Trek books and memorabilia. I use to hide them in a box, but my roommates spotted them last christmas and freaked out and the Geek Tree was born.

There wasn't much snow, it was mainly ice but I'm also at the bottom of the hill in that picture. Overall it wasn't the best skiing experience.

I've gone skiing twice... Both times it wasn't really natural snow, it was the ice coated fake stuff.

One thing I learned is I can take some pretty nasty spills and not get too hurt.

Honestly, going like 30 mph and whiping out is fun as hell if you hit the ground right and don't tear your knees up.

Aaaanyway, Stanley is always posting pictures of his iguana up here so I thought I'd follow suit. Sorta.

Here are my frogs! I'm currently trying to set up a the baddest ass 30gal tank complete with waterfall and live plants but...budget ran low so it looks like a shitpile still and they're reduced to living in a 10-gal tank for now.

The first one is called a tiger-leg frog. Isn't he spiffy!?! I call him "Lazy eye" cause one of his eyes is always more closed than the other. And the darker frog is called "Chubs" due to his rather obese appearance. He's a basic green treefrog and they live in the forests of the east coast. When he's in his "happy zone" (ie: ideal temperature and humidity) he's this gorgeous tranlucent key-lime pie color. Okay, enough blabbing.

Seriously. If I ever have kids, the only pets they're allowed to have are reptiles and amphibians.

Reason:

You clean their tank almost a third less than you would with the ever-popular rodent pets for kids. (Rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, etc). They do not stink like rodents do. They do not consume NEAR as much food as other pets do, nor are they at all messy (birds, anyone?). They rarely make noise (with the exception of some frogs and it isn't even that loud). They don't shed hair to make your allergies go crazy, and they arn't as bite-crazy as rodents are either. Most reptiles I've dealt with pinch, but don't have the teeth to draw blood.
