I thought police in the UK didn’t carry guns.

Regular police don't I don't think.

These were plains clothes detectives I think I read.

I went to England and in the heart of London I saw either a military or policeman holding a submachine gun as if he were aiming it. I was under the impression they did carry guns. He must have been a military person.

Glock, type of gun, with the Asian speech turning the L into an R sound.

Ah..bad taste joke, and somewhat misinformed.
Asian generally in the UK is a description of someoe from India/Pakistan area essentially, although technically people from SE Asia - to whom the joke would be more applicable - are still Asian

Ahh had I known that the bad taste joke would have been...

Did they aim for the dot?

Either way I'm going to hell.

The purging of London begins!

Looks like white "radicals" are now trying to bomb the Muslim centers.

Seems that the Police are cordoning a few of the centers off from the public due to bomb threats recieved.

Yeah, I think it needs to turn into a bit of an anarchy first.. I am all for it though.. shouldn't hold back. Only lets the other people take advantage of political correctness

Police have said a man shot dead by police at Stockwell Tube station in south London is "directly linked" to anti-terrorist operations.

Met Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair said officers fired after the man was challenged and refused to obey police.

Police have said he was not one of four suspects in Thursday's bombings shown on newly released CCTV footage.

Scotland Yard has confirmed a man has been arrested in the Stockwell area in connection with ongoing inquiries.
