I finished 8th in the PvP ranks for last week, and Keilum finished 5th.

Represent!

Congrats.

LOL @ carebear comment. The entire reason I left WoW in January was because there was no pvp. Just left DAoC to come back to WoW for the battlegrounds and in the few hours I have played I got a Mage to 3(want this to be my main pvp toon) and then played the battlegrounds a few times with the warrior. Now I just need to get a toon to 60.

When did a carebear become someone who plays on a RP server? In every other game I have played carebears are people who dosn't care for pvp. Someone who PvP's on a RP server would not be considered a carebear.

There is a huge difference between PvP on a RP server and PvP on a PvP server. On a PvP server, anytime you are not in your own faction's held territory, you are subject to PvP. That is not the case on a RP server.. you know when it's going to happen and have to take certain steps in order for it to commence.

I have not been able to do BG for a while.

For some strange reason the guild wants to do Gnomergan.

I stealth ran the entire thing but now alot of people are getting to the age where it it turning grey so feel that they must rush thru.

Also had to do RFK to get items for warriors. I had not realized that alliance could do horde instances and vice versa because I spent time on Saturday doing WC to get green items for a newbie enchanter.

LMAO..

I was actually with LF questing. We both needed to kill some Naga and get some akris from them to complete 2 quests. We found Troj hunting alone there and actually invited him into the guild. Since we are almost the same level.. I wouldn't consider that babysitting.

Babysitting is when you are level 32 and you utilize a cap or near capped character to help you so you don't get ganked. In travelling through Badlands yesterday.. I came upon 3 such instances where a low level alliance player was with a skull rank to me. THAT is what the term babysitting means.

Littlefang
06-27-2005, 08:38 AM
Heh and if anyone is expecting LF to babysit them they are in deep trouble. Shes pretty darn weak at pvp. Half the time others have to tell me what I should do.

But yeah we were questing together. And unfortunately most of the alliance in Stranglethorn go nowhere without their pet 60's. And since they are not having fun in BG they are returning in force to overrunning low level places.

Hope to see you soon there TOJ and I am very sorry if my pet bites ya hes out of control! :)

Yeah but if you dismiss your pet while feigning you jump up!!!! How embarrasing....Um Hi I wasn't really dead. Heheheh

Now Grolock is a super hero at feigning!

LF

Nieninque
06-27-2005, 09:31 AM
Also, if you were quick enough to dismiss your pet before you feign death, it would show up in the combat log of anyone around.

When I fight a hunter, if their name is still over their body I attack it again to make sure they arent bluffing. If they are, I get a few hits in for free before they realise and jump back up :)

Keller
06-27-2005, 10:05 AM
I had a hunter feign in 1 v 1 once.

That shit was hilarious.

I just let my energy build up -- backstab, run around, gouge, SS, eviscerate = wasted feign death.

i didnt need to kill naga but when the alliance are 2 on 2 and lose they usually pull in 3-5 more. and they did, all older by 4-5 levels of stabbed and LF so i came, bitch slapped em. Invited Troj he seemed like a decent hunter at first glance, Alliance ran like usual and never came back.

Somewhat off-topic question... I had my first PvP encounter last night (unintentional) at The Crossroads (got pwned walking out of the gate and they camped my body and all) and I noticed that I couldn't see the ages of the attackers, it just said "Level ?? Paladin" or whatever. Can you not tell the ages of your opponents in PvP? Or was it that I was too young?

Hulkein
06-28-2005, 12:08 PM
Too young. You can see roughly 10 levels above you.

He really should try an alliance character on another server. The character I play on Dunemaul is the only horde character I play. I actually really like the look and feel of alliance characters just as much, if not more at times.

I played Falgrin.. a dwarven rogue up to level 32. Yea, it's cute and pretty.. with lovely landscaping and beautiful flower arrangements...

I prefer the scorched earth look of the horde. Makes me not so much of a pansy ass and makes me realize that it's a tough world out there.

Of course, Anticor can always join the sissy side where the ratio of Alliance to Horde is at best 2:1 on most servers. I prefer the target rich environment though.

I never understood this thought.

I mean, most people roll Alliance, then delete their characters and go Horde.

Toj, on the other hand, left the outnumbered underdog, and went to the comfy little foofy side with tons of backup and 14 yr old kids on summer break with level 60 paladins to babysit them.

I mean...are you the kind of guy that joins in on the team that's winning 10 - 2 then gloats about your victory that you had nothing to do with? I don't even see RP servers as being "Carebear" any more...I see the entire Alliance side as being Carebears. Sure it's an overgeneralization, and tons of people have their reasons for the side they choose...

I just typically see joining the Alliance side as taking the easy way out. (Unless of course if you're on Mal'ganis, then choosing Horde is taking the easy way out.)

Odups
06-29-2005, 01:18 AM
Yeah....is there some place you're getting your numbers for "most people roll alliance, then delete and go horde"? If that was case, you think almost every server would still have population imbalances? Besides, Alliance is the zerg, that mindless mob, that's enough for some people to want a change. Not because the horde are so uber and awe-inspiring, but because Alliance attracts lots of idiots and people sometimes choose to get away from that. Surprising enough, I'm sure plenty of people don't choose Alliance to have things handed to them o a silver platter.

Killing a 49 rogue in our guild would require something from you other than running for cover in Booty Bay and having the bruisers cover your sorry ass.

You received bumpka for HK or contribution points.. that should have clued you into the fact that you had very little to do with the kill.

We realise however, that a hard core of about 8-10 players with 10-20 others who play from time to time are not going to ever be able to do MC, so we are looking at the options to enable that to change. Sounds like progress, rather than failure...but then you are all about failure.

We're merging with another guild. Surely you read that in the thread I posted. Surely you read the reasons why we are doing it... before you voted no.

You can be assured that our combined guild will still hunt your character down, kill him and give him a no-storm. That part won't change, so don't be all sad and lonely on us.

Sometimes it seems you don't even play the same game as us Toj. It's like your little brother or sister played in our guild and you just took over his character.

Most of our recruiting efforts were centered around younger characters. Obviously these younger characters are not up to cap yet. End game instances are for those who have reached cap... level 60.

Now we have an opportunity to merge with another established guild with many capped characters. This will make end game instances MUCH easier.. because there are more people at cap.

Christ, I didn't think it was that difficult to understand.

No...actually, what you said was:

You are the reason the Barren Fury will not last the summer.

Two parts to that.

a) I "am the reason". Obviously you are wrong with that part. It has been a guild decision to change.

b) "Will not last the summer" well this part is wrong in two ways. Firstly the guild will remain. Secondly, you could be right only if something evolving into something bigger and better means that it no longer exists any more...which in actual fact means you cant be right.

So congratulations...wrong in so many ways with one glib throwaway comment.

There's a difference between merging two really good guilds, one being too small to accomplish end stuff, and another is people leaving randomly until no one is left. The second scenario is a failure. What is happening is anything but.

One of these days you need to let go of the angst you have against this guild and it's members. It was your decision to leave. Honestly, I still don't see what you complained about when you left. I'm starting to think you weren't even in the right guild.

As for threads with TBF name, we can always edit them with the new name.

OMFG you are warped.
If you are talking Kothupoora, she left because she is on the west coast and was not getting to do the instances she wanted to do with the guild. Hers was a pragmatic reaction to a real problem (unlike your hysterical reaction to a non-existant problem).
I am still friends with her and it was actually me that invited her to the guild. I was a little pissed off with her for a while but that was something we quickly got over. You could always whisper to her next time you see her in game and verify that if you...oh yeah, you deleted your character in a hissy fit. You cant.

And as for the rest of your petty whinging...keep it up. It's amusing.

I laugh at your spin. I really do.

First off.. that 'older' priest was a stupid bitch that only used the guild to get what she wanted and then she joined another guild. Ours was what, the 3rd guild she join/left?... I'm sure she's on her 5th or 6th by now. Blaming Nein on this bitch's inability to commit is laughable. Hell, I couldn't even get her to commit to a single instance once!

"Sure, I'll go"

"Wait, I don't think I can"

"Ok, I'll try"

"Nevermind, I can't"

"You still have room for me?"

That all happened in a period of 20 minutes one night.

I'm not saying Nein is perfect.. hell, she's British so it's not even possible to be half perfect.. but I've never had an issue with her and if I did, I would say it to her face.

I certainly wouldn't quit a character I had spent time building, join the other side, come up with a new guild and carry on this bullshit vendetta you seem to be on.

If anything, you've really changed many people's opinions of you over this past month here. Personally, I've never had a problem with you but it's even starting to wear thin with me.

Toj, you're not even IN this guild anymore. Why oh why are you still hung up over it? Not having fun in your own guild/faction that you need to pound on ours?

I really don't get this animosity. If you didn't have a good time and someone messed it up for you, all you had to do was LEAVE THE GUILD and go elsewhere. The problem you had was with ONE PERSON. Leaving a whole FACTION because you had your panties in a bunch with one person makes you seem really unstable.

We're merging with another guild. We're not all leaving in a huff because someone wronged us, no one is quitting. In fact the other thread was made so that no one felt leftout when it was decided to merge. Yeah everyone hates each other.

AHAHAHAHA. Kothupoora is a guild whore. Go check her profile, I saw it on one of the WoW sites. She's been in like 9 guilds since February. She left Oni one day, joined BOC the next, the apologized to BOC and said she still had friends in Oni and was hasty so she left BOC and went back to Oni.

That could have been the worst example possible Toj.

Wow.. someone has very selective memory. I thought my memory was bad.

You killed me once. ONE TIME. ONLY ONE TIME. I even posted about it on this board.. how I was running past 2 healers with the flag and neither one healed me and how you moonspammed me to death. I will give you that one death.

Now.. in order for you to kill me more than I killed you.. I would have had to not killed you once. Is that what you are claiming here now?

The only big nerf is you are not going to be able to restealth during combat. (Which also means hunters won't be able to drop a 2nd trap during combat either.)

When fighting two at once, I've gotta rely solely on cooldowns and melee. No time to spend 6 seconds backing away from my opponents to restealth.

Good job. You guys almost touched our flag that game.

I have 2 right here .. and that was in ONE GAME. We played in a total of 3 games.. so are you now claiming you killed me 4 times in those other 2 games and I didn't kill you once?? You even commented about how I wtfpwned you when you were in ice.. and the pic was of me sheeping your stupid ass.. so that is at least 2 right there. Also funny on all of those posts, you never mentioned the pwning me in the BG.. until today. I would think if I were only a druid of 8 levels below a rogue.. So, basically, you know you can't get the members to fight us and don't want to get yourself completely humiliated. Listen, it's easy to talk shit when you won't show up to prove anything. It's okay man, it's okay that you take credit for a kill that Booty Bay Bruisers do, but when it comes on a straight guild vs. guild battle, you cry like a little girl. I mean, we arn't a real guild, you should be able to wtfpwn us easily with your massive size.

But hey, it's okay. I'm confused by the statement...is that you Toj or a guildmate?

And if it is you...did you see the:

"Alorg ambushes you for ~1200"
"You die."

Or did it just say:
"Unknown entity ambushes you for for ~1200."
"You die."

edit: Nevermind, it is you. The rolling eyes smiley made me think you were being sarcastic. But by saying you were in BRD last night...

Anyways...it was a pleasure to kill you!

Ah...beg your pardon.
You mean you took a paladin to 60 and a druid to 35 in 6 weeks(ish) whilst being a top powerful section commander (or whatever) and making sure we are all secure in our beds, and while not having enough time to play ("being an adult sucks sometimes") and also while dropping everything to help out your guild members when they ask...how did I miss that?

Wanna share your secret?
And pardon my cynicism(sp?)

They all have help, or have you forgotten everything from your days on the better side?

And it still takes longer than the two days you apparently took to get to get to 60 with a character you (a) never mentioned before and, (b) had no clue about the spells you can use.

Of course you didn't buy the account :duh:

In all honestly, I didn't realize Negativo was Carpe Diem (or you, for that matter) until after I'd dropped you. I just tabbed through the 6 or so Alliance standing around and saw one with only a third of his health left, so I took my shot. Then I noticed the Carpe Diem tag. :P

So I still dont get it.
It would still require you to actually do the quests.
If you have much older people with you, then the XP from killing mobs will be much less, so older characters helping you does not automatically mean levelling faster.
If it is same-levelled guild mates, then there will also be a bunch of level 60 CD members wandering around, but there isnt...in fact I think there has been one sighting of a CD member that isnt you by any of us, and that was the level 20 hunter I killed in Westfall. So that argument is leaky too.
What help did you have to enable you to fly through levels. Alorg helped me with Sade a load, and I mean a load, but it took a while to do that.
Given the amount of time you have spent whinging about the staff here recently, we know you havent been doing the 24 hour gameplay, which leads us back to bought character (or bought/shared levelling).

The "I want HKs" response is because they knew they didn't have a chance. I think that game you're referring to, you guys had 5 kills the entire game. We were raggin on Cartman at one point because our entire team was in the top 10, and Cartman had two of the three deaths from our team at that point.

You forgot to tell them to worry about me. I R flag ninja extraordinaire. I regularly grab the flag with 3-6 Alliance guarding it and sprint, vanish, evade, prep, etc. while they're all standing around still trying to target me.

Frankly, unless you're on a team with KG, you're not going to win very often when our pickup group has 50%+ of players like myself, Ferian, Alluce, Beermaniac, Cartman, Hippie, Banerot, Zanin, and some others (Anyone from the small HypeODermic Studios guild is also great in WSG).

We even beat a mostly KG team last night (but Deception and Ellusion were gone, but there was 6 KGs).

Watch for me on the scoreboard, I'll either be at the top or the bottom, depending if on I play flag ninja, or if I travel with the crowd for HKs and to hold the field/flag room.

You'll find me in WSG pretty much anytime during primetime now. I should make top 5 this week, maybe even sneak into top 3 since Hippie was away this weekend.

CrystalTears
07-11-2005, 11:27 AM
Well how else do you feel people will respond when all you've been discussing is a druid, with not one mention of another account or character, stating that you have too much of a life to get to 35, let alone 60.

If it was someone else's account and now you have it, bought or not, just say so. At least Blazing told us he had a mage, even though he didn't mention the name. Coming out of the blue with a level 60 when the guild never had one before, and it being yours, just seems suspicious.

Geez, it'll be like playing with those shared empaths in GS where you never know who it really is because everyone was playing them differently.

So cheap of a way to get a level 60 than to just level one up all by yourself. This isn't an accomplishment at all, just a sad way to get a babysitter. I didn't think you were the type to stoop this low to get one.

Or people arguing over which route to go talent/weapon wise as a Paladin.

Yeah well, if that is the case I guess I can delete my characters and reroll alliance, like all the other nancy twats do when they dont get their own way.

I really wished I would have saved the u2u's from you complaing about TBF and especially SADE

You're right, initially I did. Actually it was me asking why you left, you answered with just "Sade and her alts", I asked why, and you said because of her, that's it.

I commented that I could understand that because of her attitude here. My feelings on that are not secret. I've duked it out with Nien on the boards plenty. Stating an "oh I should have saved that U2U" isn't really intimidating. Heck I even vented in the threads along with a couple of others who were a little jaded with the guild.

But then after spending more time in the game and interacting with them, I apologized to her and now can't even see what you were complaining about.

There's a huge difference between having a fallout with someone and leaving a guild, and someone who left the guild, quit the faction, rerolled and is out to be a complete nuisance to your former guild members. Your attitude is kinda scary, so I have no qualms putting in jabs once in a while your way.

Nuisance?

ask PB, Kelium. Alorg and LF how much fun they had in BG when they knew I was on the other side.

I will go even further.

If those 4 post here that I am a nuisance in game to them, I will not mention Carpe Diem on this message board or post in a TBF folder again

Out of curiosity (being a n00b), who cares what rank someone is in a guild? I've been initiate for about a month now and don't seem to have any impairments on my functionality. Is it just that you can invite new members?

Is there something that tells you what ranks there are and what they can do?

I should have added "to your former guild members ON THE BOARDS". I really don't know, nor care, how they interact with you in the game. My beef is your attitude HERE, especially when you had your attack when I had to edit something and you claimed it was because you were alliance. C'mon now.

many people it is important. Everyone who asks or gets to 30 in my guild is an officer and can invite to their guild.

in game if you look at the guild tab of O, then click status it shows rank and a note if it is put in and last log in

Guild rank means nothing in the Barren Fury.. That is if you're a Toj.. Well.. then no one talks to you and you are forced to reroll Alliance and get discriminated on certain message boards.

Yeah youre crazy.

btw, discussion and debate != in-fighting

I would hardly consider what we are doing fighting. We are discussing the best way to advance the guild. Maybe you would go ahead, rush blindly, and act before thinking, but it's not the case here.

Then again.. Shouldn't you be crying how this message board is oppressing you by being Alliance, talking shit, and never seeking out any BF members to fight?

Chump.

The part where I know you are over on the enemy side is great and I thoroughly enjoy it. It's the other bullshit you spew here that makes me think of you as a fuckstain. The "I don't have time to get Toj up to anything higher than 35" one day and then "Oh, I capped a Paladin in 2 days" the next. The "TBF SUCKS AND WILL FAIL BECAUSE I LEFT!", the constant spamming of your bullshit claims and bullshit hate.

Well, being the resident expert in lying, I guess you might be right. Although, unlike you, I wasn't doing it to deceive anyone.. I was doing it to be funny/sarcastic/dramatic. It went hand in hand with the "I LEVELED A PALADIN IN 2 DAYS!" comment.

Ok listen you little piece of monkey shit- I can take a picture of your sorry ass every time I kill you too, which is a lot more than you will ever get my by the way. BUT I don't because I don't need to prove my skills. Evidently you do, because you're a horribly pally and everyones calling you out on it. Pretty easy for anyone to notice thats fought you at least once.

I mean seriously how hard is it NOT TO DIE WITH A PALLY. Apparently, pretty hard for you buddy. Congrats on being the worst pally ever. Don't think anyone is going to be able to take that title from you. Maybe all that experience YOU DIDN'T GET with him is paying off, CONGRATULATIONS!

I was just asking that last night to Grolock and Sinax while we were doing Felwood. None of us have seen any of them. Since that day that you all killed his ebay paladin and I got waved at by negative. Who by the way is very nice he enchanted all our bracers yesterday on the way to Org on the Zep.

On another note can I say how cool it is to see hounds everywhere. I mean everytime I do WG there are usually 3 of us, every town has at least one hound there. Not always anyone I know or have chatted but its kinda cool. And I did ZF yesterday with lifelesson and Kramel I think his name is and we rocked. We only wiped once and then life had to run so we did the rest of ZF with only 4. I finally have all those quests done. heh

None of those sites are all that accurate.

I think I checked yesterday morning, and we had something like 122 members, 86 accounts.

Heh, I'll believe it way more than something Mr. Negativo says about his fabulous guild that no one ever sees :D

And I do realize that it has it's inaccuracies. It still has me as 30 and I turned 31 on the 23rd, and their site said it was updated on the 24th. But hey, it's not too far from the truth, just behind a few days, and I'm okay with that. Gives a general view to have something to go on.

You know I've been to quite a few places now, and I believe I'm at their average level. Haven't been to BG yet but I've roamed Ashenvale, Stonetalon, Arathi, Hillsbrad. Had quite a few run-ins with alliance. I've yet to see ONE Carpe Diem member. Not one. Where are they hiding, cause they sure aren't hanging out in contested areas.
