See, that was the best of times... We got converted from TBF literally while we were doing a BFD run... fun times. I miss the early days of HoR but as Some Rogue and CT will (hopefully) attest, a BFD run would not fully prepare us for a "Monkey pull." Hell, I still don't know where Monkey came from, although he did entertain me.

For real though... Our first real HoR instance run as newbies, I totally gathered all of the potions I could have possilbly created for our ST run and honestly it represented my nerdiest point in my WoW career. We still wiped, LoL, but we eventually completed all of our quests.

Fucking Onaad and Stier, they were the first WoW people who I conversed on the phone with... They'd be late for a raid and call me while driving home to ensure they had a spot while we were working on Nef...

OK I'm drunk and reminiscent, so anything that I'm saying may or may not be true, FU!!

Seriously -- for all of Monkey's fucked up logic -- he really played WoW to have a great time and generally helped the rest of us also have a great time.


On a side note: Nightwish went on to join Onibatsu and raid with them. What's up with that? Eranon and I used to watch her in MC. All she would do is Prayer of Healing. They finally had to put her in the MT group just to get some utility out of her. How the hell did she make it in Oni? Maybe Codrus explained to her how to heal. Who knows.

Seriously though, I hate that I wasted 2.5 years of my life playing WoW and I wish I could have that time back, but I am glad I had some good times and got to know some fun people.

It was outside of Ony. I think Saia and someone else were out there killing her Alliance friends and she wanted them to stop so she could /hug them.

The Monkey/Kagg fight was great, but for some reason I think the time I was laughing the hardest was when Shuriken's mic was broken and he sounded like a robot while he was leading a ZG run. He was always so uptight, and he was always kicking people off TS for talking too much or whatever.

I was laughing so hard I was crying when everyone was imitating his robot voice "This is Shuriken, does not compute." It probably helped that he didn't have any sense of humor about it and kept trying to fix his mic to no avail.

I thought of two more funny things, but these didn't happen til 2.0.

Dar and I were running around in gnome costumes in Nefarian's room and giving Mitten the nonstop nostorms while he gave his instructions. He got so pissed at us but I was laughing my ass off.

Probably my favorite moment though, was Dar playing Werewolves of London with his shitty computer. It kept fucking up on him, and then he finally got it to work and everytime Mitten would talk, he'd play it again over the top of him. I was crying over that one.

Man I was really pissed/disapppointed when I saw those. Yeah they were clever, but if Bob really didn't know at the time, that's not the way he'd want to find out IMO (or is it?).

Matray was a good raid leader but I never fully trusted him. And nothing encouraged polarization quite like Ryask... She united many different enemies over her tenure in HoR, IJ, and even Feuerstorm.
