Al Gore appeared on at least two Sunday teevee programs this morning. This is how Chuck Todd introduced him on Meet the Press..

In his 2006 documentary film "An Inconvenient Truth,” former Vice President Al Gore warned that we were going to experience rising temperatures, melting glaciers, drying lakes, more wildfires and stronger storms over the next 20 or 30 years. Well guess what? In the 16 years since that film debuted we've seen rising temperatures, melting glaciers, drying lakes, more wildfires in more states in this country and, yes, stronger storms. We’ve experienced a lot of that in the last 10 days alone. In the top 60 most intense hurricanes in US history... guess how many were post 2006?

I'm going to give you a hint: It's less than 1.

Climate Change is inevitable. Are we going to make China stop going through its industrial revolution? Focus on the human species. I'm not saying to set the entire 2.12m sq. miles of the Amazon Rainforest ablaze with napalm, but how about funding and innovative thinking for, say, ACOE so that Louisianna doesn't wind up 99% covered in water. Our change on nature is completely inevitable; and, I say, protect our species first.
