Alright...I'm still a highschool kid, and enjoying it immensely, to be honest.

I'm 18, and therefore legally responsible for all of my actions.

Not everything I do on a computer is legal, really.

I pirate music, steal games, programs, etc. I never target an individual, so no credit card numbers, or anything that heinous. I would say, however, that if someone ever took MY laptop and stomped on it, I'd be sure to find him and return the favor. sigh...it's been a bad day.

I can say that our friend Tamral should perhaps be working to protect himself, being the obvious catalyst for all of this kid's problem. You're dealing with an individual with no real remorse...After all, he stole credit card numbers, according to the completely trustworthy Tamral, it's not much of a stretch to imagine that this kid could have Tamral's ass kicked, is it?

Luckily, my heavy machinery is a 10-key and a laptop. However, all salaried staff are required to spend a certain amount of time in the plant, learning how things work. I have a whole new respect for our production workers because of it.

It's because I'm not as old as PB and my memory still functions fairly well.

What happened is clear: That guy entered his own IP-Adress in his mighty Hack-Tool and crashed his own PC. This way, the attack on my PC was a failure. I was already starting to think that I did not have to worry, but a good hacker never calls it a day. Two minutes later he returned.

There was a tension in the room... Would he manage, after these two failures, to crash my PC? I waited. Nothing happened. I felt relieve... Six minutes passed by until he prepared the next wave of attack. Being a Hacker, who usually cracks whole data centers, he knew what his problem was now.

I hope a Mod can get ahold of this thread for me, and help me clear my apparently tarnished name.

I don't have very much ground to stand on, I have no real proof, and no means to get any.

I'm just going to hope that people trust in me enough to believe me when I say I wasn't here. :no:



Onto better news, that story about the script kiddie...I have a feeling that the kid didn't accomplish anything. He can try to delete his own drive, but it's nearly impossible, if his OS is running off of it. Also, if he didn't know what the loopback address was, (127.0.0.1, it's a way for people to check to see if their computer's configured correctly to connect to a network) he probably doesn't even know how to start or run one of those scrips.....They're not meant to be really user-friendly, and they don't have to be. The people that use them USUALLY have some knowledge in their head. I think the kid probably tried it, watched it fail by default, and then quit.

By the way, where was this log made? mIRC?

A: Whoever told you that is a total liar. Just like other mammals, hacker catchers can be mean OR totally awesome.

Q: What do hacker catchers do when they're not running over cats or flipping out?
A: Most of their free time is spent in net cafes, but sometime they spread rumors. (Ask Mark if you don't believe me.)

So yesterday, after getting out of work late for yet another day (fucking Israelis don't seem to understand proper procedure when uploading flat files to the mainframe, and flights keep getting delayed because of it) I went into a local coffee shop to grab a 10 o clock dinner, when what do I see, but the local coffee shop Wi-Fi has been hijacked by a dumbass kid who thinks he's all smart and the ultimate Hacker. Problem is, he tried to name the hijacked network Angolo's, so people who tried to connect wirelessly on their laptops would not check the spelling to see it wasn't Angelo's. Secondly, he was stupid enough to have a printer profile on this network that has his family's last name on it.

To make a long story short, he really wasn't able to get anything from my laptop other than files dealing with work, most of which are confidential, but wouldn't mean anything to someone who didn't understand them, but after calling him out on it in front of about 40 people, 8 or 9 of whom were using their laptops, we called the cops and did a little search of his PC before they arrived only to find he had at least 15 different credit cards stored in a text file, none of which were his. I also suggested that another person there accidentally "drop" his laptop and then step on the monitor trying to pick it up, which he did most beautifullly, even remembering to write down the exact contents of the text file for authorities to contact and review. He lives about 2 miles from my house, and I am in debate as to what course of action to take next, which include but are not restricted to:

1) Killing his cat by accidentally running it over with my car. (I assume he has a cat because his desktop has a picture of him holding a cat in a/his living room)
2) Advising other kids in the local high school to beat the piss out of him, especially since 3 of those credit card numbers were in names of local high school boys that I know of, this is my current top option.
3) Advising other kids in his high school to spread a rumor that he is not a heterosexual.
4) Rally up people to ostracize his family for raising a fuck-up, hopefully leading up to a lawsuit that costs them house and home. (but this would take time and effort I don’t necessarily want to spend)

Any ideas? I want to ensure this kid and/or his family are fucked.
